About this property
Modern Artsy Apartment In Hip Part Of Brooklyn
This 2nd floor studio apartment is a private, small space at the back of the building, with minimal street noise activity. The house is an old 1910 wood frame building, with layers of history and normal wear. It is a family-friendly building, owner-occupied (1st floor), with another family on the 3rd floor.
The kitchen is tucked in an alcove, but open to the living/sleeping areas. All kitchen appliances and fixtures are modern, with a stone counter and copper back-splash.
There is an entry closet. The bathroom has a standard tub with shower, dual flush toilet and stainless industrial sink. All towels and sheets are provided. This apartment offers two places to sleep, first is a bed for double sleeper and the other a fold-down chair for single sleeper.
The living room/ sleeping area windows face Northeast; allowing a lot of morning sun and indirect, natural light. Most of the furniture is minimal, modern style.
Although there are sleeping accommodations for three, it is really best for two adults (and one child).
With an artist owner, it is a work in progress. Please do not expect hotel-level finished, but instead an interesting dialogue between materials, spaces, furnishings.
**This is a Non-Smoking unit**No Parties**
Check in is at 4PM and check out is 11AM. I try to accommodate all individual arrival and departure circumstances

About the host
Hosted by Frid Branham

As mentioned in the rental description, I am an artist and architect. I am currently self-employed and most of the projects I do are residential or small businesses, although I have a lot of experience working on institutional/medical projects.
I was born in Ibiza, Spain to American parents and moved back to the States when I was 11. My parents are also creatives, working in architecture, art and fashion. After receiving a 4-year degree in History from Boston University, I decided to pursue architecture and attended my parents alma matter Pratt Institute. Afterwards, I completed a Masters degree in sculpture at Hunter College.

Why they chose this property
I love the friendly, safe neighborhood. It is slightly divided off from South Slope/Park Slope, creating an enclave of its own. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants to try; many of different regions of the world.
The school system is very good and my kids can safely walk around the neighborhood unattended by an adult.

What makes this property unique
I live in the building, and make myself available to any and all questions, needs and concerns.
