About this property

Lakefront, Firepit, Kayaks~Alaska Lake House Oasis

Escape to the serene beauty of this sophisticated home situated on the banks of Walby Lake. Spend your summer evenings gathered around the firepit with loved ones and experience the land of the midnight sun. Take a summertime kayak ride or stand-up paddle-board adventure as you soak in the stunning views, or just relax by the lake with a book. In the winter you`ll have a beautiful view of the night sky and a chance to see the northern lights off the back deck.

Welcome to Alaska Lakeside Oasis, a stylish home on the hillside beside the tranquil Walby Lake, just 15 minutes from Skeethawk Ski Area.

As you step inside, you`ll be greeted by high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the beautiful view of the lake. Warm up by the gas fireplace on chilly evenings and watch your favorite movies on the impressive 75” TV with Netflix, Hulu, & Disney+ subscriptions included.

Enjoy your meals in the elegant dining room, while taking in gorgeous lake views. The dining table has room for seven people, while the kitchen island and breakfast table both hold four. For stargazers, a telescope in the dining room is at your disposal to explore the night sky during winter evenings. And for those feeling musically inclined, there`s a ukulele to strum to your heart`s content.

Before you start your day`s adventures, make sure to write in our guestbook and place a pin on our map to show your hometown. The breakfast nook is also a perfect spot to enjoy the local coffee or tea provided. And if you bring your furry friends along, a dog door in the breakfast nook leads to a fully fenced yard. We welcome one or two dogs weighing up to 25lbs.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, including a blender, air fryer, and rice maker. There is also a variety of coffee making apparatus, including regular drip coffee, an espresso machine, French press, or Nespresso. You`ll find a washer and dryer in the laundry room on the way to the garage.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and a large TV for unwinding. The master bathroom features both a shower and a luxurious tub.

The second bedroom is adorned with a queen bed, while the third bedroom boasts a queen bed and a double bed. The fourth bedroom has two double beds and its own TV.

Downstairs near the entry, you`ll find an office with a library of books, board games for the entire family, a TV, and a desk with a printer for any remote work needs. A trundle bed with two twin mattresses offers additional sleeping arrangements if needed. The garage offers darts, foosball, and mini ping pong for some indoor fun.

Step onto the back deck to take in the serene panorama of the lake. Fire up the griddle for an outdoor dinner experience. A winding path of stairs leads you down to the lake, where you`ll find a private dock stocked with kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, a cozy hammock chair, and a fire pit for marshmallow roasting under the stars. Please note that a waiver will be required for use of the fire pit and lake access.

This lakeside retreat is your gateway to relaxation and adventure. Come experience the magic of Walby Lake and make cherished memories with your loved ones. Looking forward to having you!

You`ll have private access to the entire home, driveway, back deck, steps, back yard, and dock. You`ll have access to the garage for recreation, but there isn`t room for a vehicle in the garage. During the winter, access to the firepit, dock, and lake is sometimes impeded by snow drifts over the stairs. There are two locked sheds on the property that you won`t have access to, and one locked closet in the entryway.

Though the space is private, you may occasionally see people on the property mowing the lawn, shoveling the steps, snow plowing, or completing other outside maintenance tasks.

You are free to reach out to me at any time for assistance or if you have questions about the home or the area.

The home is a two story home that requires the ability to climb stairs. Access to the lake is down a long winding path of steps that start from the back deck.

For the protection and safety of the home owners & guests, this home is equipped with outdoor security cameras that take active video and audio recordings on the front steps, in the driveway, and off the back porch facing down to the lake.

Inside, the home is equipped with a device that monitors the environment in the property (including noise levels, temperature, and motion) to ensure guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbors are not disturbed. There is no camera involved and it does not record sound.
