A Hairy, Dirty, Shame
I reached out to let the property manager know that I was unhappy with the cleanliness of the room. They responded the next day, and they assured me that they would have housekeeping come and provide clean linens and clean the entire room. The owner asked me if I gave consent for them to come into the room. I gave consent but no one ever came.
I was traveling with my partner and his 2 young sons (4 and 8). I asked for clean linens because I found hair and other small debris on the white sheets, under the top cover. There was hair all over the shower wall and floor, hair on the sink counter top and hair on the white towel included in the bathroom. It looked like the room was "tidied up". Beds were made but the sheets had not been changed. The bathroom was "clean" but there was hair all over. This was my second time staying at the Beachwalk. First time was great, which is why we came back. This experience makes me not want to go back (and I won't be).
The owner and I continued to send email responses to each other until a day before check out. My concerns were ignored. The owner was silent after I asked for some sort of appeasement for all my issues that they did not rectify. It's disgusting how some people run their business. This person rather cut corners and risk a bad rating, than assist their customer and ensure their place is clean.
Parking here was pricey and parking fees are collected at check-in. No more self-parking. All valet only.
