In March 2020, during the COVID-19 period, the prime minister announced that he would be holding a press conference, and we had a feeling that he would impose a total lockdown. That night, we decided to move to our apartment in Albion, which was not even equipped at the time. We were right because the next day, no one was allowed to leave their premises. This turned out to be the best year of our lives. My husband would finish work early, and we would cross the sugar cane fields, defying the ban, sometimes hiding in the cane when we saw police patrol helicopters, to discover new spots in the wilderness. We would relax on the rocks, admire the sea, and sip an aperitif.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the residential side of the west coast, which is synonymous with tranquility. The unspoiled nature of Albion is also what makes it charming. This is something we wouldn't easily find in other coastal regions, which tend to be overpopulated with tourists and prone to noise pollution.
After the lockdown, we were delighted to enjoy the Club Med beach almost every day. It was a luxury for us to go to the beach almost daily with our kids and go for our morning runs along the cliffs near the lighthouse.
