COME ON IN, TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND PULL UP A SEAT ON THE DECK OVER-LOOKING THE MOST SERENE LAKE IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA (MY OPINION) AND SIP YOUR FAVORITE BEVERAGE!! NO POLYESTER IN THESE SHEETS! JUST BRING YOUR TOOTHBRUSH AND A CHANGE OF CLOTHES AND YOU ARE ALL SET. FORGOT SHAMPOO? IT'S THERE. FORGOT YOUR RAZOR? IT'S THERE. FORGOT YOUR GOLF CLUBS? CAN'T HELP YOU, SORRY (someone stole mine)!

Our second time renting this cottage, just as lovely as the first. Quiet and peaceful, we spent nearly every evening out on the deck, watching the wildlife on the lake, cocktails in hand. Literally a mile away from one of the best golf courses in the area, with a nice restaurant as well. Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard all an easy drive if you want to shop till you drop. Within 1/2 an hour of some of the best waterfalls and hikes you could hope for, this area has it all. House is super comfortable in a private area, grocery store and a few other good restaurants within 10 minutes. Pretty ideal in every way. Already looking forward to our next stay.

The view is definitely 5 star! From the main part of the house and the deck, you have a beautiful and tranquil view of the lake. The house is conveniently located near services (grocery store, gas, etc.), hiking trails, scenic drives. I stayed there with my teenage grandson for 3 nights and we were very comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms on 3 floors and it could easily sleep 3 singles or couples in the bedrooms plus extra on the downstairs sofas. The house is very well stocked with everything needed to cook meals and all the regular necessities like paper products, soaps, etc. There are also kayaks and lake floats which are a nice touch. I debated between a 5 star and 4 star for two reasons. The first is cleanliness. While the inside was acceptable, the outside deck area could use some maintenance and a good cleaning. Also there are outdoor cameras everywhere which is a little creepy. Overall, though, I would stay there again for the views and convenient location.

perfect little spot for a family getaway. very private and close to Pisgah and Dupont forests for tons of hiking and recreation options. would definitely stay here again.

Great spot!

We loved the location! It rained a lot of the time we were in town and this property gave us a beautiful vantage point to slow down and enjoy the rainforest we were in. Would definitely stay here again! The lake was great, lovely patios, and very comfortable beds!

We had an amazing stay at this property. It was so relaxing, yet the lake offered our teen boys things to do…fishing, kayaking, swimming. It was hard to leave! You won’t be disappointed staying here-book the trip!!!

Relaxing Getaway!

This was one of our favorites! We were looking for a nice relaxing week! With three boys this was perfect! They kayaked, swam, and fished the whole week. Karen was great to work with! Loved it!

Just as described- great stay!

Everything was as described with excellent communication from the owner. While the lake didn't seem to be well-stocked for fishing, we still had a fantastic time swimming and kayaking, and we managed to catch a couple of fish. There are plenty of nearby activities to keep teenagers entertained. Highly recommend!

So much fun!

We had so much fun staying here! The house was clean and comfortable, but the outside is where we spent most of our time. The kids had so much fun swimming, fishing and kayaking that they didn't want to leave the house all weekend. The deck has a great view and it was a very quiet and peaceful. We can't wait to go back.

This is a beautiful lakefront house. The view is awesome! Three floors and each with a bathroom made it possible for our three families to spread out. The kitchen has everything that you need. Plenty of staples provided. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of towels etc. Not far from Hendersonville and Brevard. Any questions you have, Karen is quick to respond.

Long weekend getaway

We were very happy with this listing - the floor plan, location, amenities, and correspondence with owner. We took our grandchildren on a long weekend to visit Mt Pisgah and the surrounding area. They enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake and using the tennis courts. Will be first on our list if we head back to that area.

YOU CAN ALSO SEE ALMOST ALL THE WAY AROUND THE LAKE BECAUSE MY HOUSE SITS UP HIGH, IF YOU NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE CHILDREN. THERE IS A ROAD THAT GOES AROUND THE LAKE FOR WALKING AND IT IS JUST SUCH A HAPPY PLACE AND I HAVE THE BEST NEIGHBORS!!!!
