Hi! We are Barb & David, owners of Creekside Cabin in Twin Lakes, CO. We have lived in Colorado for 20 years and split our time between Twin Lakes and Denver. Our favorite activities include hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, and skiing (downhill, backcountry and cross country). We love Twin Lakes and are so thankful we get the opportunity to share this spectacular place with our guests.

Why they chose this property

INDEPENDENCE PASS & TWIN LAKES

Located among Colorado's tallest peaks near breathtaking Independence Pass -- Creekside Cabin is only 15-min from Twin Lakes, 10-min from the top of Independence pass, and 30 mi to Aspen (Note: Aspen is accessible by car only when the pass is open, approximately May - October. Check COTRIP for closure status). The crystal clear waters of rushing Lake Creek border our property on one side, and on the other side our property backs to the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. The immediate area offers limitless opportunities for outdoor adventure - hiking, biking, fly fishing, lake fishing, summiting 14ers, paddle boarding, kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, ice fishing, backcountry skiing, downhill skiing, snow-shoeing, and more. For quaint mountain town shopping, dining, and entertainment: Twin Lakes has some nice offerings and Aspen, Buena Vista and Leadville are all approximately 30 mi away and cannot be beat.

What makes this property unique

Many Colorado mountain towns have become overcrowded with tourists and traffic. Surprisingly, these days it's difficult to find a true "cabin in the woods" experience in Colorado, especially one with private access to a mountain stream and hiking trails. Creekside Cabin allows you to experience Colorado the way it's meant to be. This feels like a remote wilderness experience, but you are only minutes away from historic Twin Lakes and a short drive away from great restaurants, shopping and all that Aspen, Leadville and Buena Vista have to offer.
