Absolutely beautiful home! The grounds were exceptionally clean and the staff were so helpful and amazing. Glenda was so helpful in helping us to organize our time there and she is phenomenal cook. Pinel was a wonderfully sweet and friendly housekeeper who took great care of us and kept the property immaculate. We would definitely return if we come to St Lucia again!
Pictures don’t do justice to the beauty of this property. The view, the plants, the accommodations were just perfect. The service was wonderful too. Glenda always greeted us every morning with a smile and a freshly cooked breakfast. It was so tasty and included fresher squeezed juices or smoothies every day. The recommendations made by the owner were spot-on. Restaurants were wonderful, Durand (our driver) was so safe, accommodating, and friendly. He also provided tours. This was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend this property for its accommodations, location, and service. We loved it!
My wife and I spent a week at Hermitage Cottage for our 35th wedding anniversary and loved it. The views were incredible, and I probably took 300 pictures of the Pitons, sunsets, and rainbows. The grounds are amazing!!! Jean Phillipe does an outstanding job with all the tropical plants. We did visit the local Botanical Gardens in Soufrière; however, I have to say the Hermitage Cottage has a much better variety of plants, flowers, and fruits. There is one really tall Norfolk Pine beside the house, that is really a landmark in the area; we could see the tree during our catamaran sunset tour!Glenda, the house manager was wonderful, and we enjoyed her breakfast every morning with local fruit. I even created a photo album of her breakfast plates and presentation to share with others. She helped book a boat tour and offered great recommendations. Glenda met us when we first arrived and gave us the house tour. Pinel took very good care of us making sure everything was clean and tiny. The owner, Laura, was a great communicator and shared great advice regarding St Lucia.
Spend 7 beautiful nights at Hermitage Cottage celebrating our anniversary. WOW, such a beautiful piece of property and it was ALL ours for a week! Laura was so quick to answer any questions we had prior to our visit and provided very detailed suggestions. We much appreciated the morning breakfast from Glinda. We loved exploring every fruit/vegetable/and all the tropical flowers on the property. We had two issues during our stay that Glinda was very quick to respond and taken care of them. Spend everyday in the beautiful large pool. It felt like we were at our own private resort. We visited The Botanical Garden/Mineral Bath. Next time I will skip that trip per everything is literally at the cottage (except the mineral bath). Ate at Brigands (loved it), Dasheene (our favorite), Treetop (nice view and all you can eat Indian food), 5 Fingers, Mango Tree, Martha’s table and Felicity. Our favorite beach Ana Chastanet which we rented 2 chairs and umbrella for 66. Spend along time there snorkeling on the reefs (so amazing. Tree to bar (lunch included) highly recommended. We had a great time at Sulphur Springs. Onsite couples massage from Proactive. We can’t wait to go back and bring our 3 girls next time. There is plenty of space at this beautiful property for all of us to enjoy. Thank you for having us!
Cottage and views were better than advertised. More than enough room for 6 adults. House manager Glenda and Pinel were wonderful and made everything extra special! Close to many great beaches and attractions. Highly recommend using Chef Bill for a few dinners-he was amazing.Rented car thru Durand and he provided exceptional service and some transfers.
This property exceeded every expectation. The home was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and offered truly spectacular views that felt straight out of a postcard. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere of comfort, elegance, and tranquility. Waking up to the breathtaking scenery each morning was an unforgettable experience and watching each sunset was so relaxing. Glenda, Pinell, and Jean are an amazing team. Felt like they were family and gave us the best recommendations for places to see and visit on the island. They were also so good to our daughter's aged 7 and 9. This was a first-class stay in St. Lucia, and we would enthusiastically recommend this exceptional home to anyone seeking a refined and memorable getaway. We can't wait to return to Hermitage Cottage.
Our stay in St. Lucia was nothing short of a dream. From the moment we arrived, we knew this vacation would be special—but nothing could have prepared us for that first breathtaking view of the Pitons. The initial glimpse literally brought me to tears. It was one of the most extraordinary sights we’ve ever experienced. The cottages were exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. Every detail reflected care and pride in the property. You could feel the thoughtfulness in every corner—it was both luxurious and welcoming at the same time. Each morning, we were treated to beautiful breakfasts made with love by Glenda. They quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. Everything was fresh, delicious, and prepared with such warmth and hospitality. Ms. Pinel also took wonderful care of the housekeeping, ensuring everything remained spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. Both ladies were incredibly warm and friendly, and they truly made us feel at home. The grounds were otherworldly. The botanical and fruit trees were meticulously maintained and added to the magical feeling of the property. It felt like staying in a private tropical paradise. The pool was perfectly maintained as well—refreshing and crystal clear. It was just a little chilly at first, but after letting the sun warm it for a while, it was absolutely perfect for a swim.We are certain that nothing will ever top this stay. It was everything we hoped for and more. Simply put—just PERFECT.
What a unique and lovely property, with beautiful views, lush gardens, and warm and welcoming staff. We feel so lucky to have found Hermitage Cottage! It exceeded our expectations in so many ways.
Very responsive owner prior to arrival. Once there, we were treated to property manager Glenda’s full hospitality, recommendations, and amazing breakfast. Pinel took care of the cleanliness. This VRBO is the best we’ve stayed at in our travels. Views are spectacular and you are sleeping/waking in paradise. We rented a car and, while a little tough to navigate the local roads, very happy with the freedom to explore the west coast for snorkeling, hiking and towns.
We had an incredible stay here!! The house was just as pictured, sparkling clean, with incredible views. The house manager, Glenda, was so helpful, kind, and an incredible chef. Her morning breakfasts were a highlight of the trip! Pinel and Jean Philippe kept everything in top shape during our stay. The location is also ideal for hiking the Tet Paul, taking a dip in the Mineral Springs at the Botanical Gardens, slathering on a mud bath at the Drive In Volcano, lounging at the beach (Chastanet and Mamin), or creating a chocolate bar at Project Chocolate. All around 10/10.
Close to amazing sights and village, fab views, staff like Ray that become friends, super treats like water/fruit/bread/eggs awaiting your arrival, super local flair

Thank you Stephen! It was great to have you at the villa.
This property was more breathtaking than the pictures. Each day waking up I was amazed at the views! The Caribbean the Pitons the birds (especially the hummingbirds!). The flora! Each morning we were created by Glenda and Pinel. Delightful and made the experience even more amazing. You couldn’t find a more enchanting place!!
From beginning to end, our stay here was more than anyone could ask for in a vacation. The view alone is so spectacular- even if I had never left the property I would have been delighted.

Lovely stay.
We had a wonderful time. Lovely place with all we needed - including a well equipped kitchen. Stunning view from the patio to fully relaxed.
Even through hurricane Maria (we just had the tropical storm) we were safe and comfortable!
The property is truly spectacular, this is the Caribbean experience at his best; property manager and maintenance are outstanding people, can only strongly recommend.
The view and outdoor living space was unbelievable! We loved watching the birds, listening to the frogs, and breezes through the palms. MaryJane cooked us a tasty meal upon our arrival. Martha’s Tables was our favorite for local food and Hotel du Chocolat had a great atmosphere.

Absolutely gorgeous!!
This property is breathtaking. Everything we needed was there. It is close enough to town, yet very private! There is a guest book at the property that has many entries from past guests. This served as a helpful tour guide! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the island!
The pictures do not capture the beauty of this place. Absolutely stunning!!
We loved the flowers, the view, and the pool.
Glenda and Pinel were so kind and helpful throughout the process.
Laura was very helpful and provided a lot of feedback prior the trip and to the end of the trip.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the view and the culture.
Glenda & Pinel made our beautiful villa in St. Lucia perfect! Even with rain showers, we were able to go out and about and return back to our glorious Piton views! Only downside was that you need use bug spray every evening. The pool was beautiful in the lush green setting.A different breakfast every morning by Glenda was exceptional! She was even able to handle GF/DF dietary restrictions. Many thanks to all!
This property felt like a private tropical paradise with amazing views of Petit Piton. Both the owner and the onsite manager, Glenda were amazing hosts with great communication before our arrival and assistance during our stay. Hermitage Cottage was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to St. Lucia. When we first arrived we thought it might be too isolated but it turned out to be the best location, close to town and activities but quiet and relaxing when you want it. We would definitely recommend this property.
