Lovely home with very responsive host in friendly community with walking trails, beaches, and beautiful views of south Puget Sound. The quiet house, nestled among cedars with plenty of privacy from nearby homes, was clean and spacious, with an EV charger (and adapter for non-Teslas), AC, and nice kitchen (could have used a few more baking pans, sponges, and cutting boards, but had lots of dishes and some spices and coffee). The house fit our two families (6 of us total) well as we enjoyed cooking, board games, and movies on the big screen. A fawn wandered by the living room window one morning. We walked 5 minutes to the beach to see eagles, herons, and seals. Had a cookout at the tip of the island in the grills and firepits provided (a 1-mile walk away, or drive there). We enjoyed meeting the friendly, long-term community members at the beach and the community center: nice outdoor pool, pickleball courts, pool table, library. Off-island, we liked exploring Shelton (nearest big grocery store), the Olympic Bakery, lavender fields, and ride-the-rails. There was more to do, and we’d love to return.
