Located about a few kilometers from Old Quebec, it marks the limit between the river and the St. Lawrence estuary and is today the most important heritage site in Quebec.
Take a tour of Île d'Orléans and discover the architecture, history and heritage of the charming villages along the St. Lawrence River. It was also in Saint-Pierre-de-l'île-d'Orléans that Félix Leclerc, a great Quebec poet, lived his last 30 years.
It is possible to tour the island by bike. If you go all the way around the island, you cover 67 kilometers with more than 400 meters of elevation gain crossing six parishes.
