About this property

1 Acre Lakefront Private Cottage. Sleeps 8, Dog Friendly with kayaks and boat!

Unwind at this tree studded lakefront cottage. So much to do in every season, Lounge by the wood pellet fireplace with a book, dine underneath the stars on the large deck or kayak & fish on the unspoilt lake. Minutes from fishing on Pere Marquette and the Manistee hiking trails. Yard games, 2 fire pits, 3 kayaks and fishing boat. Huge wraparound deck for grilling and relaxing.

Mooselake Lodge was created with the intention of providing guests with the ideal backdrop to retreat into nature and reconnect.

The home is located on Orchard Lake with one acre of beautiful wooded property. There are two fire pits to choose from and a spacious wrap around deck with a beautiful grill and accessories to enjoy. There is a beautiful new staircase to guide you down to the lakefront.

Plan to spend time watching all of our wildlife; deer, bear, gorgeous variety of birds including our favorite red headed woodpecker, fishers, raccoons, bullfrogs and so much more!

Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to cook (or not!). Pots and pans, pod and standard coffee maker, toaster, microwave, colanders, baking sheets, stove and oven, utensils, silverware, glasses, plates, Tupperware, and drink pitchers.

There are two bedrooms with queen beds as well as a very comfortable queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. We also have an additional twin bed and foldable futon in the upstairs bedroom.

Pets are allowed (with the exception of cats due to family allergies) as long as the following rules are followed; no wet dogs in the house, no pets on the furniture, and heart worm and flea/tick meds must be up to date. Dogs MUST be supervised outside at all times unless enclosed on gate- proof deck and not allowed to bark incessantly. An additional cleaning fee of $50 applies to dogs.

Our home is professionally cleaned and sanitized after every reservation.

We have plenty of games for you to enjoy, puzzles, board games, Connect Four, checkers, Foosball and Darts.

It is very important for us that your group makes unforgettable memories here and absolutely love your stay.
Guest access
This home and all its amenities are all available for our guests. This home is also occasionally used as our own family cottage so please be respectful of any items we may have stored at the property. Guests are welcome to use the kayaks and fishing boat at your own discretion but please make sure to bring life jackets with you.
Other things to note
We are located 5 minutes from Pere Marquette River, with great Rainbow Trout and Steelhead fishing as well as kayaking and canoe rental. Hiking and 4wheeling trails are within 5 minutes.

Ludington and Silver lake Sand Dunes are 30 minutes to the west and Traverse City is 1 hour 40 minutes north.

In Baldwin, we recommend Jones Ice Cream Shop, Pizza from Mr. Bibbs, 876 Main for dinner, and Emerson Lake Inn for lunch and dinner.
In Scottsville (20 minutes away) we love North Country Cafe for delicious breakfast.

We hope that you love our space as much as we do and that we can make your stay a perfect getaway.

Good location
I liked the location and it fit the bill for me. My girlfriend was less than impressed with the housekeeping, as she did find a couple of Cheerios on the floor and a toenail. The oven should also get a deep clean. All in all it was a good place.
