Wonderful place, great location!!!!A few helpful upgrades that would really help. New mattresses and pillows, beach towels for the jacuzzi , master shower pressure was very low and lastly after being granted early access ( which was great!) the code for the door didn’t work. Dog friendly was great and I definitely would stay there again!!
From the booking, to the check-in process, to the location, and the condo itself made this rental perfect for us. You are literally steps away from the Eagle Lodge. The condo is located right next to the hot tub and a short drive to the village. We would definitely rent again.
This is a great property. Location is excellent. Pretty much exactly as described in the listing. We were really happy and would stay here again. Very close walk to Eagle Lodge.
The condo is right by Eagle lift so great for skiing. Pet friendly and lots of other pets and friendly tenants and visitors. Easy parking and laundry too. The condo was very clean and comfortable with every thing we needed. The management company was easy to reach and helpful with all requests. The property has lots of trees and sidewalks, two large outdoor hot tubs and an indoor sauna. It's a great spot for adults traveling with their pet.

Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! We hope you will think of us again for your next visit!
Pros: spacious
Clean & furniture comfortable.
Plenty of kitchenware available
Location-close in to town, paved walking trails
Cons. First level does not mean ground floor. I still had to pull all of my stuff up several small flights of stairs from parking garage.
Family above me had normal noise but there doesn’t seem to be insulation since I could hear them walking, talking & playing games.
T.V. Control in main room had dead batteries so I could not control sound and it was very loud. I called management office and they answered but I never got a replacement controller hopefully it has now been replaced.

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with.
If you have any questions about the property you are considering, and if you have specific needs or expectations, we have local staff in Mammoth available 7 days per week to talk to you or answer any questions. We know every property on our program and are happy to help to make sure you are booking the best property for your needs and budget. Please call us at 866 Mammoth from 9am to 6pm, 7 days per week.
Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! We hope you will think of us again for your next visit!
Booked this place for 5 of us, however, one of our friends got injured right before the trip and had to back out last minute. For the 4 of us, we had PLENTY of room and this would have still been true for 5 of us. The place looked exactly like the pictures and check in/out was super easy. There is a tablet that is used for this process that also has instructions for dealing with heaters and whatnot, so that made using those items pretty easy as well.
Regarding location, this unit/complex is extremely close to Eagle Lodge. It was roughly a 5 minute walk in all our gear from the time we left our room to the time we got to Eagle. The walk was easy as well as it’s just alongside the road, whereas some other places we’ve stayed at required a tiny hike through trails/small hills.
For parking, we received two passes, one being for a dedicated spot in the parking garage. I can’t remember the exact clearance height off the top my head, but I believe it was just under 7 ft. We drive a Subaru Forester and had we kept our roof bin on, we would not have made clearance. As for the second parking spot, this was not entirely clear as all the garage spots appeared to be for reserved spots only. The overflow spots are in a small outside lot just down the street (maybe 1 min drive) and are a first come first serve basis. It was confusing finding it, but afterwards it was easy to deal with.
All 4 of us personally rated the place 5/5 each and we would definitely stay here again.

We are so thrilled this guest had such a great stay! Ours is a difficult business and it is easy to focus on the problems, but we really appreciate when our guests take the time to let us know we got it right. We work really hard to deliver on the promise of a great vacation, and we appreciate all kinds of feedback. We hope to serve you again soon!

Unsafe Property
We had a dangerous and disappointing experience with this property & its management company,
Mammoth Five Star Lodging which is a devious and predatory management company that delivers no service & is staffed with rude and indifferent people.
This unit has no emergency lighting as we arrived into a power failure that had been on-going for more than 24 hours. The fire-place was leaking gas because the pilot light had gone out as a result of the power failure.
In my conversation with the management company rep about the power failure, he actually informed me that power failures are a normal occurrence in this area and that is why the rental agreement's fine print does not provide for any adjustment whenever a power failure occurs.
Nice one! They got us.
So my family had the pleasure of paying full rate to arrive at a pitch back building (including the garage, stairwells, hallways and the unit itself). Best of all, the unit had no heating so it was a freezing blackout. Fortunately, the power was finally restored late that evening but the unit stayed cold until the morning as it has a very inefficient heating system.
What is particularly disconcerting is the fact that the owner and the management company pulled a fast one with their rental agreement since they know about the sketchy power but they don't equip the condo with emergency lighting including battery operated flashlights & lanterns, candles & matches. I bet this business practice is illegal.

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. In this case however, the power outage effecting your stay was entirely out of our control, and power was restored within 3.5 hours of your arrival.
There are no gotcha's in this business. Every guest signs a rental contract prior to our confirming their booking. We can't force people to actually read it (please do). The language isn't specific to electrical outages, and the logic is plainly obvious- we don't give cash refunds for problems outside our control, or unrelated to the services we provide. (If the power were out because the owner didn't pay the bill, that would be different.) Since we don't provide electrical utility service, we are unable to solve an outage; and we can't take financial responsibility when third party services fail. (If the power goes out at home do you get a rent/mortgage discount? No, and you won't get one at a traditional hotel either.)
RE: the fireplace; you complained that you thought there was a gas leak due to the electrical outage and we explained to you thats not how fireplace's work. The pilot light doesn't require electricity to remain lit, only to light it in the first place. There is an electric igniter to light the pilot when it goes out, but that is battery operated and unaffected by the power outage. We directed you to the instructions provided in the property guide to re-light the pilot. Had you requested maintenance support to light it for you we would have sent someone to help.
The property has emergency lighting installed in the stairwells and throughout the home, as required by town regs. (All units must pass a safety inspection performed by a local, licensed home inspector prior to receiving a license to operate, this one included.)
We don't stock flashlights or candles in the units, because they would a) be used/taken so frequently we would have to increase our cleaning fees to cover restocking the inventory; and b) because candles and matches are a fire hazard and property owners don't want them in the unit. (We do stock matches in units with wood burning fireplaces.)
We are disappointed that you were impacted by the power outage, and sorry you were dissatisfied with our refusal to offer a refund. We would point out that you didn't have any complaints about the cleaning, pricing or any of the services WE provide.
