About the island...New Smyrna Beach, Florida is located on the East Central Coast of Florida. A cozy beach side town with 13 miles of white sandy beach, which has a drive and no drive section of the beach. An absolutely beautiful, natural environment, it's enclosed by 2 national parks with excellent fishing, surfing, boating and wildlife from Manatees to dolphins, and a great assortment of restaurants, and quaint shops on Historical Flagler Avenue. Where lots of fun special street events take place and Canal street where oldie cars meet on a Palm tree-lined street and a rich tapestry of historic buildings, unique boutiques, art galleries and dining in every price range. We are the closest beach to all the parks in Orlando and under an hour to Disney, Universal, and Cape Canaveral. You can see launches from our beach even though its 45 minutes away, cruise ships are also under an hour away, St Augustine is an hour away, Daytona Beach with its car racing under 20 minutes and Tampa with its casinos 2 and a half hours away. Making it a great location to do day trips to the surrounding area. The closest airports are Daytona Beach 20 minutes away, Orlando International 60 minutes and Sanford Orlando 45 minutes away.
