The single family home has a homey, oceanfront cottage appeal. It sits on the most amazing property with vast ocean views.

The home itself is cozy, tranquil and recently completely remodeled. It has hardwood bamboo floors throughout, lots of natural light, updated kitchen and bathrooms. Maximum is 6 guests. The location is central,within walking or biking distance to everything to do in Islamorada . However, you won't want to leave the property. Just check out our photos and the amazing reviews from our guests over the years. It is truly special.

Master bedroom has private bath, king-size bed, desk, overlooks the ocean and has perfect sunrise view. Living area overlooks ocean with abundant sitting and lounging space . Second and third bedrooms have lots of sunlight, full closets and two single beds and queen-size bed, respectively. Dishwasher, microwave, brand new refrigerator, washer and dryer, and flat screen smart TV. Towels and linens supplied.

Outside has a private dock, palm shaded hammocks, fishing or sea life watching, picnic table and lounge chairs. The dock is 160' long and private to the property with water depth ranging from under 1' to 4', low to high tide. Access by boat is limited during low tide.

High-speed WiFi service, beach bikes and Kayaks also available for use by our guests.

Amazing property in a quintessantial "Keys" Bungalow....historic property with a Resort Style back yard! Amazing Views, Dock, Pool, Sunrises and countless Palm Trees! We enjoyed every second of our one month stay and were sad to leave! The hosts are very easy and prompt to communicate with, the house is small, but very well stocked and very comfortable....pics and description of property are exactly what it is....the outside is even better than the pics! Thank you for an unforgettable stay! Bike Rides to Yoga on the Beach, and a french bakery every morning were an added bonus! Astrid and Family Saranac Lake, New York

Absolutely Spectacular!

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at Russell Estate. It is a massive stunning property! The pool is lovely, as is the ocean-front yard, and the dock has a nice bench at the end to watch the sunrise every morning. The house itself is absolutely spotless! It is bright and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything a cook could want/need and there are plenty of extra linens, towels and so on. Though located close to the main road, there's very little traffic noise and there is a Publix (grocery store) right across the street, plus loads of great restaurants nearby. The owner Alex is just great! Any problem or issue, he is supper fast to respond and get it addressed immediately! Final comment: one of our dearest friends from Belgium was able to spend 5 days with us (out of 14 days) and she was just awe-struck by the beauty of this place and said she felt like she was in paradise! I agree...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this rental!

Amazing property

My husband and I had an incredible time in Islamorada, and this property was a major part of our enjoyment. The views are stunning, and the home has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy a slower pace of life. We loved our time here and plan to come back every year. Alex was a great host who was prompt in communication and helpful when we had questions. The location was especially great because we could ride bikes on the old highway to many restaurants while avoiding the more busy highway. I highly recommend this property. It went above and beyond our expectations.

We have four daughters enjoy the Russel Estate regularly as our family's second home. My wife and I got married on this property and have owned it for over 15 years. Because of their exposure to this property and the keys in general over the years , our daughters have grown up to appreciate and value the profound natural beauty of tropical ocean life. They have spent hours, days and years exploring and collecting all sorts of marine life or just playing or enjoying the outside. As the property has shown us lots of love and beauty over the years, we continue give the love back with regular upgrades and maintenance, new features and play items.

Why they chose this property

This property has significant historical value as one of 29 red cross homes built after the devastating hurricane of 1935. It was also owned and homesteaded by one of the founding families of Islamorada, the Russell's. Beyond that, the marine wildlife and views around the property are amazing. On any given day you may be able to catch a sighting of dolphins, turtles, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, starfish as well as all types of tropical fish and bird life just by sitting ocean side. Ocean Kayaking and swimming is available right off the property. The yard is large and private and offers perfect, unobstructed views of the Atlantic ocean with breathtaking, colorful horizons as the sun sets and rises on the ocean. And.... if you ever have the motivation to actually leave this tropical paradise, any one of the best restaurants and entertainment in Islamorada is only minutes away --- walking, biking or short drives away.
