The space: One bedroom with a queen-sized bed, soft linens, smart TV, as well as a dedicated work space. One bathroom equipped with fresh towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. Open concept kitchen living room with a mini-fridge with freezer, 2-burner induction cooktop, wall oven/microwave combo, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle, along with all utensils, dishes, and cookware. Living room with couch/daybed that pulls out to create a double twin bed and a smart TV. Laundry space with washer and dryer.

• Please note that guests do not have access to the main house during their stay.

• The guesthouse shares the kitchen wall with the main house, it’s still completely private and soundproofed. You'll have your own separate entrance and backyard space separated by a fence.

• Located just off Interstate 64, providing easy access to Richmond and the surrounding areas. There may be some outside noise from the nearby highway, particularly during peak hours. We've taken steps to minimize the impact of the noise installing soundproof windows and providing a white noise machine in the bedroom, as well as disposable earplugs.

• Access to private parking for guests is via an unpaved alleyway road behind the property.

The place was very clean and easily accessible. The place is near I-64 and the railroad, but the noise wasn't enough to disturb our sleep. For us, the bed was very firm.

We’re sorry to hear that you weren’t as comfortable as we would have wanted during your stay. We really wish we had known the AC wasn’t keeping the space cool enough, as we would have been happy to help and try to make things more comfortable while you were there. The microwave does have an oven setting, and we provide instructions at the house on how to use it. The space is set up as a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen, with a mini fridge with a small freezer compartment. We’ll also take another look at the listing to make sure all of those details are as clear as possible for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience.

It was very easy to communicate with the host, get instructions, find the location and access to the building, and the overall experience was excellent. It was a relaxing location, perfect for two people, good size, all the necessary accommodations for a week's stay. It's location was also perfect for what we had planned in the area. The owners have done a great job with the location and amenities like a fan and A/C in the bedroom - the weather was hot and humid - the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Quiet neighborhood - the hosts provided earplugs because of the proximity to the freeway. The noise didn't bother us because we used to live near a freeway and got used to the noise.I try to leave every rental location clean - I hope we did. We followed directions for bedding and towels and left them near the washer. Thank you for a great visit.

Perfect Getaway Tucked in a Beautiful Neighborhood

The Guest House is the perfect place for a fun getaway to see the city. The apartment was incredibly clean and well stocked with travel amenities. Check in was a breeze and check-out was even easier. There was mention of highway traffic noise in a previous review, but did not find it to be an issue as there was a white sound machine available for use. The Guest House was located within walking distance of two popular breweries. We were in town to see Suggesting Rhythm, and couldn’t have been happier with the proximity to the show. We look forward to our next trip to the RVA area!
