Great property and even better view!! Loved this place and the host. He even helped us get into a jammed up lock on our boat. Highly recommend this place!!
Very peaceful with nice views. Art was very helpful with local history and places to visit while in the area. Looking forward to returning during fishing season.
Super cozy A-frame cabin on the river, easy access to skiing at Red Mountain and perfect place to rest and recharge. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were super comfy, and the view wonderful. Art was very responsive and we would definitely come here again!
Absolutely beautiful location, Manager was helpful and friendly. Great over all experience! Thank you

Cozy and Relaxing
What a great place to get away from everything. It's private, affordable and the views are breath taking. We have hunted, fished, and just relaxed on a few vacations here. The Eagle's Nest fits our large family nicely and is a home away from home.
Lake Roosevelt at Northport is very much in the wilderness and you feel like you are the only one on the river and own the beaches, yet not too far away are the normal amenities. Art and Nina are super friendly and great hosts. Definitely our favorite vacation spot!
We had a lovely weekend stay. The scenery is unmatched, the cabin was warm and cozy and accommodated two families pretty well. My only suggestion would be to have two queen size beds to accommodate adults more comfortably but otherwise it was great. We fished on the river right at the cabin and caught a nice rainbow. Thank you again!

Beautiful, tranquil sanctuary!
My family and friends had a wonderful time at the Eagle's Nest. The cabin is charming with all the comforts of home and plenty of room. We love it! The view of the Columbia River is spectacular! We spent our days fishing for trout, boating, and just relaxing by watching the river go by. Evenings were spent around the fire and looking at the stars. Our gracious hosts, Art and Nina, made sure our stay was perfect. We made great memories at the Eagle's Nest. We will definitely be back!
This property s a piece of heaven. Nestled alongside the Columbia River, you will find a haven of peace, majestic views of river and mountain, bird watching galore, a fire pit among the ponderosas, and a rustic and cozy cottage with all you would need. Art ad Nina are lovely hosts-friendly but not intrusive, available and kind. Highly recommend! I would say not for the infirm as the metal winding staircase is a bit to traverse w/ suitcases etc. This is a spot for families, reunions, couples… can’t say enough good. We had a cousin’s reunion w our cousin who lives close by and had a wonderful time wading in the river, on off road tours up Into the nearby mountain overlooking the majesty of Canada across the border, picnicking at Sheep’s Creek, shopping in sweet small town in Canada, and long lazy evenings in the pine breezes sipping wine and mornings on the patio with coffee, even grilled one night. Highly foundational kitchen. Truly a great and gorgeous spot on earth. We even had a long gone cowboy ghost visit the fire pit one night!
All the amenities of home! The property gave us all the space that we needed for games and outdoor activities. The fire pit area was such a relaxing place at night. Plenty of room for all of us to eat together. The Kitching was lacking. Nothing it was well stocked with everything you needed to make the perfect meal. I’m very short walk down to the lake. It would’ve been nice if there was a dock but plenty of space to set up chairs. Everyone had a wonderful experience and a very relaxing stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure you have all your needs met. Even sending back an item that got left in the house.
Our family stayed for three nights. We played games, constructed puzzles, sledded, snowshoed, and even had a fire in the fire pit. The house stayed nice and warm. We brought all our food and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals. We were very comfortable.
Hidden gem awaits situated beautifully next to the majestic rolling waters of the Columbia River!
As we grew excited for our journey east of the mountains, our host Art made this adventure extremely smooth and presented us with impeccable details for our arrival to Eagle’s Nest. Craftsmanship at its finest, this cozy cabin awaits those looking for a tranquil stay surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Fairytale like touches may be found thought the grounds and many fun adventures await! Bring your s’more fixin’s, fishing poles or fetch on catching some wildlife perusing the grounds. Most hospitable host and ensured our stay was all we had wanted upon departure seeing us off! Stellar venue Art & family ~ thank you many times!
The Eagle’s Nest in other circumstances would be a fine place to stay, I’m sure. Unfortunately, due to heavy smoke & heat in the area, our activities were limited & ultimately we ended our stay early. Art was a lovely host & very understanding of our situation.
Only words of advice... consider the time of year you are staying & the weather. The air conditioners are on one side of the house which limits the cool air getting to all bedrooms. There’s the option to open the windows at night (though not when so much smoke is in the air), but with that comes tiny flying insects that get through the screens. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.
As well, the town of Northport does not offer much. Prepare to get your food in Spokane or possible in Canada, if open.
Again, lovely hosts & probably a fine experience given the time of year & weather.
This was my families second time visiting The Eagles Nest and we can't wait to start planning for our third visit. It's an amazing place to detach from everyday life and focus on what's important. Art and Nina are amazing hosts and made us feel very comfortable in their little piece of Heaven. We enjoyed sitting at the river relaxing while the kids swam and fished.
First, we can't wait to be back!
The cabin is extremely comfortable and well set up. The views of the water are exactly what I was hoping for, and being able to hear the river from the living room and master bedroom was fantastic.
We enjoyed walking down to the river, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, and generally just relaxing.
Definitely will be back.
Myself, husband and son were lucky enough to spend a week at Christmas at this beautiful place. It was the highlight of our year. From the moment we booked until after we checked out, Art was very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful in answering any questions we had about the cabin or the local area. The cabin itself was just amazing. It was so cosy and so many thoughtful touches throughout. The view of the river and mountains was spectacular. We could just sit and stare at it all day. It truly is God's country as Art describes. The kitchen and pantry was stocked with everything we could have needed. We brought all the food ourselves for the week's stay but it was nice when we forgot a few things and found them there in the pantry. The bed was ridiculously comfortable to sleep in. My husband typically tosses and turns a lot but with that memory foam mattress, he sunk in and stayed put! Out like a baby. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub also. We typically spend every Christmas at a cabin in Leavenworth but we thought it best to stay away from crowds this year, find somewhere quiet just to have cosy family time and play boardgames and enjoy the scenery. We definitely got that in abundance at Eagle's Nest. We have stayed at many cabins over the years and this cabin just was the absolute perfect package wrapped in a bow. We can't wait to return in the summer and couldn't recommend this cabin enough.
