Custom Waterfront full Log Home State Licensed

Welcome to English Lake Escape, a beautiful custom log home located in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest. This wilderness retreat offers a peaceful and exciting vacation with all the amenities you need.

No matter the season, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. You can go hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, or take ATV trips in the surrounding area.

The property features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably sleeping 8 guests in beds. There is a king bed, a queen bed, two twin beds, a full-size pull-out couch, and two queen Aero beds available.

You'll love spending time on the 900 sq. foot cedar deck, which has outdoor seating for 10 people. There are gas and charcoal grills for your use, as well as a three-season porch.

For water activities, we provide a canoe, 3 kayaks, and two aluminum row boats. If you're interested, pontoon rental is also available.

In the Clam Lake/Namekagan area, you'll find great restaurants to enjoy. Please note that smoking is not allowed on the property. We do allow trained pets upon request.

We always love staying at this beautiful cabin! We enjoy fishing, boating, tubing and kayaking on the lake. It was fun to see a pair of loons on the lake most of the days as well. The yard is nice and open for yard games and we enjoy our time by the fire pit in the evenings looking at the stars and roasting marshmallows. There’s plenty of space in the cabin, a good size kitchen and table for meals. We also enjoy going to copper falls state park for hiking nearby.

We enjoyed the property, relaxing location, enjoyed kayaking on the lake, as well as fishing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, appreciated the use of kayaks and other watercraft. Cabin is on a beautiful lake.Host quickly addressed a couple of issues that we encountered. Also, host went out of his way when we had to cut our stay short due to the smoke from the wildfires in MN and Canada minimized air quality to the point where it was unhealthy for two of our guests. Though VRBO had no policy for such a situation, our host refunded some of our remaining stay as well as providing a credit for a future stay. We are planning on reserving another stay for next year.

This was our 2nd time staying at this lake house. We really love how peaceful and relaxing it is. The house is very clean, well stocked, and decorated nicely. My family enjoyed all the kayaks, canoe, and row boat that were on site for our use. I would highly recommend staying here!

The property on English Lake has been in our family since 1972 and after debate we decided to demolish the old family cabin and build our new custom log home. We enjoy sharing the property with responsible indviduals and families that enjoy a backwoods retreat.

We personally enjoy Snowmobiling , ATV rides, hunting, fishing and regular trips out to the many northwoods establishments in the area. Great people and great fun.

Property has been in the family for 35 years (old cabin was demolished and new cabin was constructed in 2010)

quiet, secluded with plenty of activities available in the area. Remote setting makes for a very peaceful vacation. Row Boats fishing kayak and Canoe supplied. Air conditioned, satellite WIFI and phone. large Deck and gently sloping hard bottom sand beach for safe enjoyable swimming.
