    Host double booked and did not cancel my reservation. He tried to get me to stay in a bedroom in an apartment with a room already occupied in it. I asked him to cancel the reservation and he did not offer the courtesy in doing leaving me to deal with Vrbo directly to get my money back. Still in the process of resolving this.

    Not worth it, get a hotel where they actually take care of the property. If you’re going to have this low of quality for a vacation rental don’t rent out to strangers, just leave it up to the professionals and keep it as a beach house for yourself. Major problem was they didn’t even have hot water. They use a propane tank to heat the shower, and don’t seem to have hot water anywhere else. But the propane tank was empty when we got there so we couldn’t shower unless it was cold water.There’s also exposed electrical switches that our child or dog could have been easily electrocuted by touching.Many light fixtures with no lights.And the floors were not clean as walking anywhere barefoot and you’ll gather dirt and rocks all over your feet.Talked with owners the first night and they said the cleaning lady should have had the hot water ready and they’d have it fixed first thing in the morning, that was the last I ever heard of them.Contractor VRBO and after lots of communication they said because the property doesn’t explicitly say they have Hot Water as an amenity they are not liable to provide hot water. So they’re telling me every property that doesn’t say Hot Water in amenities may not have? What kinds vacation booking place is this.After a whole day of working with VRBO, they partially refunded my last day there giving me back the money that they likely took back from the owner and kept the VRBO fee.Businesses today are just legal scam artists
