Husband and Son Fishing Vacation

My husband and son stayed here for a fishing trip. It was the best deal and within a 45 minute drive from Pyramid Lake and Lake Castaic. Blanca responded in a timely manner if I had a question from my husband. She gave us the okay for my husband to park his boat on the driveway. The one thing to take in consideration is there is an attached house on the property that people to live in. You do have a separate entrance but shared driveway.

Six flags bday trip for my son

For the most part it was good for the price, but some of the things that I didn't realize that were frustrating were as follows. There was a lamp that didn't work. The bathroom door in the main bedroom wouldn't close all of the way. There was a very annoying dog next door that would bark every single time you would talk on the back porch. That part was probably the worst part because it was so loud and constant if we tried to have conversations. The wicker couch that was on the back porch also felt like it was going to cave in if you were to sit on it. Communication seem to be spotty once we arrived as well.

Great place to stay for our Magic Mountain trip!

This place is a cute little duplex! It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend getaway. It's about 15 minutes to Magic Mountain. Grocery stores were just over a mile away as well as other services! The three bedrooms provided sleeping accommodations for two persons each plus a hide-a-bed in the living room. One of the bedrooms has a daybed with trundle so it may not be super ideal for a couple. A great perk to this place is that it had accommodations for an infant to include a high chair and crib! The kitchen had a good assortment of cookware, utensils, plates, cups, etc. A washer and dryer were available in a little cubby outside the front door. The only minor drawback was that this place sits on a blind curve so you have to be careful exiting the driveway. The host was very responsive and helpful, especially since this was the first time we've booked a short term house rental! We received periodic emails from the host to check in on us, which was perfect and not invasive! We would definitely book this house again the next time we come down to this area! It was perfect for our extended family of pre-teens and adults!

Not what we expected

The host is super awesome and accommodating. Unfortunately, the house looks better in the pictures than it does in person. It would have been fine except that when we woke the first morning my daughter's bag and clothes were soaked from sitting on the floor in the guest room. Upon investigation we discovered that there was water coming up from underneath he floor boards, and the source of the water was from a leak in the water heater closet. When we opened the closet, we found the leak as well as black mold. So we had to leave the property as my whole family is very sensitive to mold. The owner was responsive to this issue and got someone out to fix the leak and replace the water heater immediately. For us, the damage was already done and we had to find other accommodations. Hopefully they were able to remediate the issue so that the next guests don't have the same experience.
