Secluded, peaceful cabin with walking trails & stocked ponds in SE Oklahoma
The “Sierra” cabin is designed for the family or individuals desiring a peaceful, secluded, quiet, mountain escape. This Alpine style cabin is located in Southeast Oklahoma with firepit, walking trails, and 4 stocked ponds is the ultimate vacation.
The cabin is located in a friendly little community of Battiest, OK which is North of Hochatown- Broken Bow, Oklahoma
Sierra is approximately 35 minutes North of Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park and the surrounding activities in Hochatown, Oklahoma.
After a day of fun at the lake , the park and local shops, enjoy a meal at any of the numerous restaurants/ cafe. You can return to your cabin for a relaxing quiet evening.
This Oklahoma cabin sleeps 6, has a private bedroom downstairs with a queen bed.
The upstairs loft has 2 full size beds. The cabin has one bathroom. Linens and towels are provided.
It also has a fully equipped kitchen with full size electric range, full size refrigerator w/ icemaker, coffee maker, microwave, cookware, dishes, and utensils. A flat screen TV with DVD player for movies only. No internet, cable or satellite services.
Bicycles may be ridden on the property. (You must bring your own bicycles.)
The cabin is heated and air conditioned.
The front porch deck has a propane grill (propane is provided).
The back yard has a firepit with firewood provided.
Sierra cabin sits on 130 acres with a seasonal creek perfect for exploring or fishing. There are 4 stocked ponds on the property with perch, blue gill, bass, and channel catfish. You can stroll the hiking trails on the property and along the creek. You can relax on the front deck and listen to the birds and watch for wildlife.
Sierra cabin is nestled in the Southeast corner of Oklahoma which is also a beautiful area to view the Fall foliage. Travel by car or motorcycle on the scenic winding highways which include Indian Highway 144 from Bethel, OK to Talihina, OK or take highway 259 North to Talimena Skyline Drive. The Talimena Skyline Drive takes you from the Winding Stair Mountains in Oklahoma thru the Ouachita National Forest to Rich Mountain in Arkansas. Which is a beautiful drive in any season.
The “Sierra” cabin is located on the edge of the Kiamichi mountains and is the ideal vacation rental for the adventurous or for those seeking a peaceful relaxing vacation getaway.
Opportunities for horseback riding, float trips, hiking, and trout fishing are available in the surrounding areas.
