About the host
Hosted by Paul Lacombe

We’ve called Great Barrington home for 27 years and love life in the Berkshires. Our kids grew up spending summers immersed in the arts—at Shakespeare & Company. Berkshire Theatre, attending camps, or later working behind the scenes. Our favorite memories include spontaneous trips to see John Williams at Tanglewood, fishing at Lake Mansfield, and skiing at Butternut. We cherish so much more here, and we hope you come to enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The house is nestled in a quiet neighborhood on a peaceful street perfect for leisurely walks. We love that it’s close to town yet feels wonderfully secluded, with neighboring properties all at least an acre apart providing plenty of privacy. Friendly neighbors add to the welcoming atmosphere, while stunning mountain views surround the property year-round. Wildlife frequently wanders through the yard—including turkeys, coyotes, deer, foxes, and on rare occasions, even a bear—making every season a beautiful and lively experience.
What makes this property unique
We’ve always cherished time on the front porch—sipping morning coffee with the view or sharing wine around the gas fire table. The kids grew up playing soccer, flying kites, sledding, and building snowmen in the yard. Just a mile from Main Street, we loved strolling into town for ice cream. It’s been a joy seeing what our guests have appreciated, too:
