Our stay in this spacious and well appointed house in the Galena countryside was very enjoyable. The house was large enough to accommodate our big family without feeling crowded. The host was always quick to respond and very helpful. I would recommend this house to other big families.

Multigenerational stayWe stayed at the property for 4 nights and found it a perfect match for our family of 9.Everything listed was accurate to a T. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need and more. We especially enjoyed the coffee bar that was stocked better than any 5 star hotel. The pool table was first class and we enjoyed the competition with family members. We enjoyed the movie theater and all the other amenities. The clubhouse pools were just the right size for all age groups. My wife especially enjoyed early morning coffee on the expansive deck with the beautiful views and singing birds. We also enjoyed seeing star at night (which we do not see in Chicago) at the firepit. The host was wonderful and responded immediately to any questions we had.We look forward to future bookings with him.

We loved our stay!!! Very beautiful place, not much I would change or ask to be different besides more hot water. Maybe like a continuous one or add one so there is 2. We had 12 people and we would run out of hot water every time we all got ready to go somewhere. But that’s it… my only complaint! Very well stocked… so much available in the kitchen… BIG plus! Plenty of towels which is wonderful! Property owners are super sweet and nice and would answer right away if we had a question or concern! Will definitely be back so we can experience all the things the home has to offer.

Great Getaway

The home is as beautiful as in the photos! Very spacious and included a few extras making us feel as if we were in a hotel (e.g., coffee and tea bar, soaps, shampoos, etc). Communication with property manager was easy before and during stay. We would definitely come back!

Amazing Getaway

The pictures do not lie, this place is gorgeous. It was roomy enough for 5 couples with each bedroom being spaced out for privacy. The king sized beds in each room were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and the owners answered every question I had in a timely manner. I would love to stay here again and would certainly recommend to anyone.

Family fun in Galena 2024

Family members from across the state meet and enjoy the weekend. We relax, play games, watch tv and eat. Always shop too!! Usually go sledding but we need snow! Had a wonderful time in this beautiful home!!

Annual Girls' Weekend

Gorgeous property, gorgeous views.... We didn't have enough time to use the amenities with the property and HOA, but we loved the multiple king size beds and plenty of bathrooms for NINE women! We were a little bummed that we couldn't get the fireplaces working, but the hot tub was amazing after long hours of nearby shopping!

This home was perfect for our summer getaway! Living arrangements: The bottom level worked perfectly for our family (parents 2kids) with a fridge to make breakfasts easy and keep quiet for later risers staying upstairs. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there were plenty of rooms for both sets of grandparents and 2 family friends. The kitchen and indoor/outdoor dining areas were perfect for our long stay with a large group. We hooked a long leash to one of the posts outside for our dog and the new dog bed made her comfortable and right at home. Upstairs and downstairs living spaces were perfect for rainy-day hangs.Activities: There were ample activities for everyone, in the house, in the surrounding territory, and in the greater galena region! Our 3.5 year olds watched their first movie in the cozy in-house movie theater. The hose and big yard were perfect for our mini pool and sprinkler. Our kids were too small for the games in the game room, but they would be perfect entertainment for older kids. The Galena territory pool was a BIG hit!! The owners club had tons to do and the snack bar was perfect for pool-day lunches. The pony rides at the stables just down the street, as well as hiking trails and the Belden school made for easy access to funtivities. All in all, this was a fantastic week-long vacation for the whole family. Kapil was an attentive and gracious host. Maya’s cabin is a gem - you won’t regret booking it for your next vacation!!

Natural Retreat

We had a group of 9 folks here for my birthday weekend and had an overall very nice stay. The outdoor views are incredible, and we had a nice time walking around the trails nearby and going into DT Galena to be tourists as well. The house itself is very pretty and well laid out - lots of convenience for adults to have their own large beds and mostly private bathrooms. We had a few nitpicks around things like the dishwasher/grill/knives being worn or dirty or not working properly, but it wasn't a major detractor from our trip - these are items that can easily be remedied by the team managing the property going forward - I'm a picky person and have high expectations.If you love big woodwork architecture and panoramic views, this property delivers that very well.

Galena Vacation

We had a nice stay and plenty of room for the family. The host was great for checking in with us and making sure everything was ok. The dishwasher leaked and he said he’d send someone to fix it. I just told him, we ate out a lot and would hand wash what we used, so he could send someone after our departure. The only thing I was disappointed about was the yard was not maintained as we would expect. They did come mow a couple days after our arrival and graded the driveway from storm wash out. The owners club amenities were great! We definitely enjoyed the pool. The kids enjoyed popcorn on movie nights in the theatre. The shuffle board was one of our favorites along with the Pac-Man video game. Yes I would stay again and check in was a breeze! Got our cardio work out on the stairs and loved watching the wild turkeys daily!

Family Thanksgiving

We made special family memories in this beautiful home in a wonderful setting. We arrived in the evening and was greeted with lights on and a surprise of a Christmas tree all lit up and one of the fire place mantles decorated and lit up. We enjoyed rushing around picking out our bedrooms, unpacking and sitting around talking. The pool table and hot tub was a great hit with the grandchildren, and the firepit with the adults. We had smores and talks and wine and just a very special time. The house is beautiful and plenty of room for everyone. The bedding is luxurious as were the towels. We had Thanksgiving around the table where all 11 of us could sit. That was one of the reasons I chose this house. During the day we walked down and enjoyed looking at the outstanding horse facilities near by. We also enjoyed the resorts indoor pool and basketball court and cocktails at the resorts lounge. The host was very nice and accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Hopefully we can make a repeat visit!

The house was lovely and well-appointed. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, game room and movie theater (especially the grandkids!) We had a little trouble with the dishwasher cleaning thoroughly, but called and were told to just put the soap directly in the bottom of the DW, and it seemed to work fine then. The ice maker was also slow to make ice, so you might want to bring an extra bag or two if you use a lot of ice. Otherwise, it was a great place. Lots of dishes and appliances in the kitchen, plenty of blankets, pillows, fans, etc. A bonus was using the pool at the clubhouse and enjoying events at the marina. The make up removing pods were a nice touch!

This property has an amazing view from the front deck. We even had a deer come up to the window during our early morning coffee time. The cleanliness was top notch in all areas and we are very picky about bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, coffee and tea choices as well as small appliances like a crockpot. We were a big group so we appreciated things like large serving platters and bowls. Access to the pool is an added bonus and in the winter we can see using the indoor pool and fitness center. One bathroom on the main floor is a little tight but that was a small price to pay for every bedroom having its own bathroom. Highly recommend.

The house was just right for our stay. Kitchen was well stocked, the views and house met our expectations. We enjoyed the pool table and gaming room and views from the deck. Our host kept in touch to make sure our needs were met.

We had a great time and the host was on top of things. Check in was super easy, the home had everything we wanted and more. The grandkids had a blast in the game room and we all enjoyed the hot tub.

Wonderful Getaway

The location is beautiful and the floor plan was perfect for our group. It allowed us to spread out and not have the noise of one activity impact others. The hot tub is a great size and the view was beautiful, yet we still had privacy from the surrounding homes. The house is well supplied. It was lovely to have it decorated for the holidays. The bedding is a nice quality and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was easy to work in. The only suggestions we would make is to add a couple of paring knives and a roll of foil. Thank you for a wonderfu getaway!
