Comfortable, clean condo in a quiet location with plenty of parking, perfect for two. Short walk to everything in Bayfield on the shore of Lake Superior.
After a week trip with kids and grandkids, my wife and I took a little extra time on Lake Superior. Bayfield was a great spot and our condo put right where we needed to be. Perfect location.
We spent 3 days and loved the location of our condo. We were able to walk everywhere with the exception of our kayak tour. Our boys enjoyed being able to play Dos (uno) and having the loft to themselves. Our favorite restaurants were Morty's and Manny Penny Bistro.
The condo was perfect in every way. It was so clean, quiet and the location is perfect. We sat on the back deck each afternoon and watched the sailboats on Lake Superior. Everything is within walking distant. The host was very welcoming and left out numerous brochures of local activities. Looking forward to a return visit.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The overall was great. The loft accommodation's where smaller than expected, the beds were only singles and every time I turned in the night I feared I was going to roll out of bed.
This was not what I had hope for. It beagn with a wiff of sewerage as we walked up the stairs to the unit. Opening the door, we were greeted with a moldy smell in the unit. This seemed to disapate during our 3 night stay so perhaps it was closed up for a while. Be prepared to wash your dishes before and after you use them. They were dirty ones in the cabinet. They provide bleach to "sanitize" dishes. This is NOT something I want to deal with on a vacation. The unit has bare minimum furnishings. One pillow per bed space( not like in the photos showing two) one broken ice cube tray in the freezer, it lacks a simple box of tissues, a bathroom fan the works sometime and sometimes just buzzes, and two couches with cushions that need replacing. What i found most disturbing was the host attitude. I asked for a check out later than 10 am and was denied. I asked if there was someplace to secure some bikes out of the rain and they suggested the outdoor flimsy bike rack that any kid could hack down near the sheds, and when i asked why i was charged taxes twice( once in the host fee and again in the final charge) I was told they couldnt help me. My advise to you is to keep looking. This is not a place I would recommend or return to. VRBO price "transparency " that they promote is laughable. Customer support needs improving.
We aren't sure why this guest left a 3 star review, as our only communication with them during the stay was related to some recent plumbing changes in the bathroom and that needed some tweaking. We think it is important to note that we are always happy to step in and respond quickly to any observed deficiencies in all our rental units, we are therefore disappointed we weren't given an opportunity to correct any that may have been present.
