Harsen island retreat was just what our family needed. The pool, hot tub and canoes were a big hit with my Grandkids. We had the best time.Vanessa was an amazing host. Would stay again

Overall this house is spacious, well kept and the back yard area with pool and hot tub was perfection. This house is so nice because each bedroom has its own bathroom attached. That is not easy to find. I do think they need to add another outside garbage can as we ran out of room quickly with 6 people staying for 7 days even with taking it out on Monday. But other than that our stay was great and the home is beautiful!

This is a great get-away spot - very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Vanesa was so helpful when our plans changed because of a funeral and was willing to accommodate us in that. I recommend the retreat to anyone!

We had a great time at the house. A group of 6 stayed comfortably. The stay is exactly as described, had a wonderful time hanging out at the house, getting to and from the island was simple, would stay again!

We stayed at this home from August 2–5 for a family trip and overall had a good experience. We would rate our stay 3.8 out of 5 stars.The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and has a great layout for large groups. One of our favorite features was that each bedroom had its own bathroom, which made getting ready much easier for everyone. The backyard is large and clearly designed for entertaining. Our favorite part of the home, though, was the kitchen. The open-concept kitchen, dining room, and family room created the perfect gathering space, and that's where we spent most of our time together. The beds were also comfortable enough for a good night's sleep.There were a few things that kept our stay from being a higher rating. The dishwasher was not working, so we had to hand wash all of our dishes. While there was dishwasher detergent provided, there was no dish soap, so we had to purchase our own. The home also could have been better stocked with essentials, as there were not enough trash bags or paper towels for our stay.Some of the furniture is due for replacement. Several of the couches and some of the dining chairs were broken and uncomfortable. We also noticed the kitchen window was covered with dead bugs and spider webs, which took away from the otherwise beautiful kitchen. The patio screen door has a large hole in it, allowing bugs to come inside whenever the door is opened.The TV in the main living area also stopped working during our stay, which was disappointing

Perfect getaway!

We had an amazing time staying here! The place was extremely clean & it was so nice having full bathrooms in each of the rooms. The deck/pool area was perfect for grilling out & being outside all day. The hot tub & sauna were also very nice! Mosquitos were bad at night so we couldn’t be outside long but that is to be expected in July. Really cool experience taking the ferry over to the island & would definitely come back here!

We had a great holiday weekend at the Harsens Island Retreat. The location was very peaceful and had beautiful windows and light. I'll say the pictures make it look a little nicer than it is in person, so taper your expectations accordingly. Lastly, the hot tub was not working during our stay, which was a surprise to us. Notice of that would have been appreciated.

This house was clean and spacious. It was very nice that each bedroom has a private bathroom. The deck & pool area were great. We were disappointed to find the hot tub mentioned in the listing was not available for use. The kitchen was missing essential items such as hot pads & kitchen towels. It would’ve been nice to have larger pans & bowls in a home that can accommodate 8-10 people. An electric griddle would be great. We would also suggest more plasticware for around the pool area. Nice to have a large garage to park our cars. We were able to safely keep our 2 jet skis at the dock, very convenient.
