Quiet, off grid mountain retreat that is 15 minutes from Albuquerque. Entire 5 bedroom home with large outdoor patio and balcony’s, private access to National Forest. Hiking,mountain bike trails at your door. Enjoy tall ponderosa pine & piñon trees, private secure parking, fire pit, outdoor recreation area. Commercial kitchen and outdoor grill. Come enjoy the fresh air, wildlife and peace of the mountains but close enough to hit Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Madrid and surrounding area. Jeep trails nearby.
The space
Our home is nestled in tall ponderosa & Pinon trees, with access to national forest. Five bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, with 2 living rooms, game room and kitchen. Northern NM style home with mix of Tuscan Villa and mountain cabin influences.

Guest access
Entire home with the exception of the garage is yours! Host when not traveling may be located somewhere on property in their RV. Enjoy the backyard and national forest. Master suite game room and kitchen/dinning room is on upper floor

Amazing Cabin in the Mountain

This place was amazing and so wonderfully well-stocked. We came together as a family of nine (9) to celebrate Thanksgiving and had a pleasant and relaxing time here. The property is beautiful and the wildlife is fun to watch. I hope we get to come back on day!

Beautiful home that was very clean, well stocked, and extremely comfortable set on a mountain with beautiful views! The hosts were very helpful and responsive. They provided clear instructions and information for check-in. It is a lovely, spacious home. We would stay here again, when in the area.

We travel a lot and want to share our custom home built and designed by us with you. We homesteaded the property with our 3 children living in a 1969 Airstream while we cleared the property and built our dream home. Solar system and battery bank provide power when the grid goes down. Fresh mountain water from 600 feet down provides the best tasting water you will ever have. Our now adult children come home just to fill their water bottles to take with them.

Why they chose this property

Snuggled amongst the trees and wildlife this property provides a quiet retreat from the city but is close enough to work and play in the city. Property backs up to the national forest and regularly has visitors that include deer, bears and large variety of birds.

What makes this property unique

Private access to National Forest. Hiking, bike and Jeep trails near by. Inverted floor plan gets you up above the tree line to enjoy your coffee and outstanding views.
