This home was great. It had everything our large group needed and was as advertised. The owner was easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.
Loved the porch and location looking out at the lake. Would highly recommend this property.

Spacious, well-equipped, well-maintained, beautiful view of the lake, idyllic setting, comfortable. Only downside is the short, steep driveway and smallish parking lot. Latter was a problem only because I had a large pickup truck.
Our daughter’s wedding was at Salem Cross Inn. We couldn’t have picked a better location to gather before and after our celebration. Clean, quiet and a beautiful relaxing setting on the lake. (We also rented the house across the street for additional family members…a real plus)
Enjoyed this spacious house that easily accommodated our family for my mother's 80th birthday weekend. We were able to cook for everyone, sleep everyone comfortably, and loved hanging out on the deck. Recommend this to families looking to spend some quality time together.

Spacious Home for a Family Weekend
Enjoyed this spacious house that easily accommodated our family for my mother's 80th birthday weekend. We were able to cook for everyone, sleep everyone comfortably, and loved hanging out on the deck. Recommend this to families looking to spend some quality time together.
Had an excellent stay at this property with a small group of old friends over 40. Nice, relaxing views from the porches and we enjoyed the private dock. Would return for sure.
We stayed two nights for our sons near by wedding. Although we didn’t have a lot of time to spend at the house, it would be a perfect place to just escape from our busy lives and just relax. The house supplied everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
We found the place "as advertised" and had a great time. We brought a small boat - had no problems getting access to the lake - and enjoyed having access to the lake from the property. We spent the majority of the time hanging out on the deck and the dock! All the accommodations were in good order and as shown.
This was the second time we stayed here and loved everything just as much! Only suggestion would be to offer a rowboat as fishing from the dock was not productive, though it may just have been the time of year — fish are fickle.
We will be going back next year for sure.
Myself and 3 friends came to shop the Brimfield Flea Markets. We loved coming home each night to the lake house and it's gorgeous views. The home could use some decor updates, but that sort of added to the homey charm. Very Clean!! Would stay again.
Missing amenities that are usually in VRBO’s I’ve stayed in, plastic wrap, foil, napkins, salt and pepper, sugar. A little too outdated inside me. Sugar ants were all over dining table and kitchen counter. Stain on bed spread in downstairs bedroom. Nice view though

Hi Maggie, we’re glad you enjoyed the view, but we’re sorry some aspects fell short of your expectations. After reviewing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
– Our home is typically stocked with essentials like salt, pepper, sugar, foil, and napkins, and we’ve now added plastic wrap based on your note—thanks for the helpful suggestion.
– The current interior is accurately reflected in the professional photos on the listing, so guests know what to expect before booking.
– There's a small stain on the downstairs bedspread that we're taking care of.
– Sugar ants can be a challenge in the area, but we have professional, regular pest control in place to help manage the issue, and we've only seen a couple. We’ll continue monitoring closely.
Thanks for your feedback—we appreciate the opportunity to keep improving and are confident future guests will continue to enjoy the experience.
We were looking for a house rental near to a friends family wedding with multiple bedrooms, group space and a view. This house looked great online and didn't disappoint. We had a great time. Rick
We took our Mom away for the weekend and enjoyed an evening at the Salem Cross Inn. Accommodations were nice despite the cold weather. We found the parking to be a little tricky in winter conditions due to the hill. The bedrooms were comfort and we enjoyed the ping pong table. Plenty of room around the diningroom table for games and snacking in addition to meals. Kitchen tools need updating as well as pillows, blankets and ping pong paddles. Plenty of hot water for multiple showers. Porches were wonderful for excellent view of the lake. Would recommend this rental for a large group and would stay here again - definitely in warmer weather.

Beautiful lake front location!
The owners of this charming lake front property were easy to deal with, flexible with check-in and check-out times, and easy to get in touch with. The property has 4 bedrooms with double beds and a pull out sofa in the basement, so we slept 10 of us comfortably. The canoe and 2 kayaks were a big hit (we had PERFECT weather) and so was the fire pit (we bought wood at the local grocery store which was about 15-20 minutes away). There isn't much around, we were there for a wedding nearby, but one of the restaurants, Haymakers Grille, was right in town and served a nice diner style breakfast. I would highly recommend this spot to others who want to get away for a weekend.
