This was a great base spot for our family vacation to the Black Hills. I would highly recommend if you are traveling with a family and want to be able to have a place very close to all the major attractions with the ability to cook meals and have space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The cabin was very cute, had everything we needed, and was incredibly clean.
The cabin was great for our family. It is centrally located with all the attractions close by. We all enjoyed the comfortable beds, the kitchen was well stocked with what was necessary to cook a meal. The view off the porch was lovely. Thank You!
We just had the greatest time in the Black Hills. The cottage was even better than expected (we were right next to a great play area for the kiddos). It was the perfect location to branch out and explore everything the Black Hills has to offer.

Benjamin, Thank You for the 5-star review. It is refreshing when I hear positive inspiring notes about our Resort. I hope somehow you find a way to come back again. Thank You! Karen
We liked the location. Close to Mt Rushmore and not far from Sylvan Lake, Needles Highway, and Custer State Park. We also visited Deadwood, Lead, and Terry Peak. We had rain and even some snow on Mt Rushmore. But the cabin was a great return spot. We cooked most of our own meals and the kitchen worked great for that. The 2 bathrooms and bedrooms worked great for our group of 3 adults. There was a bit of confusion on the WiFi password, but then it worked GREAT!
Excellent location. Center to everything we wanted to see. Food/ice cream stand on the property. Met family members of the owner. Everyone was exceptionally polite/friendly. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend this rental to everyone traveling to the area.
The cabin was smaller than the pictures portray but it was pretty nice. The outside landscaping next to the cabin was flowering bushes that were attracting bees and wasps. Had to report a wasp nest by the front door. There was a brochure in the room that showed a mini golf course and a zipline for kids. Neither one was there. The online pictures showed a creek close to our cabin but it was more behind the managers house.

Thank You for the review. Sorry, I don't know what to say about the Flowers and the creek not being where you thought, Mostly sorry about the old outdated brochure that you found in your cabin, However those things were not listed or advertised on the information that you booked your cabin from. Sorry for the confusion. Karen

Disliked: Cleanliness
The parking was a bit misleading. It indicated parking next to the cabin but in reality it was a 20 - 25 yard walk. Ok as long as no one has mobility issues like some in my party. Secondly frequently someone else was in the cabin's assigned spot when we arriveed at the cabin including when we first arrive and several other times during our stay. Called for help a few time but was basically told to get over it, so just lived with the rest of our stay. Again with guest with mobility issues parking farther away is not helpful. As for the condition of the cabin. For the most part it was ok, the AC and other appliances worked and it appeared clean. Upon entry there were damaged cabinet handles. Reported it. Shortly there after tried the TV it did not work. Reported it also. To their credit some came over and fixed both the TV and the cabinets within an hour.However..... the most egregious issue was when I got some of the pots and pans out of the cupboards and found mouse poop in both the cupboard and inside the pots and pans. So of course had to wash everything before even thinking about using it.With some effort these problems can be corrected but I would recommend you work out details before committing to this property.
Great place for hosting children and very close to Hill City. Love the Dairy Twist on site.

Thank You Mark for the 5 star review. Glad that you enjoyed the activities and good food here at the Resort. Next year the Fun Zone will be located behind the cabins in the big open area. We will move most of the activities there out of the enclosed space and there will be no charge. Karen
All was good except lack of hot water for morning showers. One person showered the night before, there was "zero" hot water in the morning.

Thank You for the review Tim, but I wish you had told us about the hot water as we could have taken care of it immediately but didn't get made aware of that until it got cleaned and it took just a few minutes to fix the problem. Karen
