So clean and comfortable! Many nice touches, we were very comfortable there. It’s located in a beautiful neighbourhood, and the property itself is very pretty. It wasn’t hard for us to take the train into Chicago a couple of times, the location was perfect. Thank you for a relaxing, comfortable stay!
Everything was perfect! Ran into the host as we were leaving for the museum one day and he was great as well. As we spent most of our days downtown, we were always able to find somewhere near the house for late night dinner and/or snacks. We felt safe during the whole stay and the house included everything we needed and more!
Amazing communication and willingness to fit around our crazy schedule. Will definitely recommend to friends and family travelling overseas. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Place was decent for the price had a major ant problem i know tis the season but seriously an issue but reached out to owner he came that day to spray and set traps it honestly did do much to fix the issue because this was a basement listing but appreciated his willingness and honesty.
Visiting family and the location was central to get to all. We enjoyed everything about this space: very clean, comfortable beds & seating, cool during hot weather and nice view of gardens from deck. Great communication with the host. Also quiet and close to local shopping. AND the snacks were so nice on arrival!
We enjoyed our stay here very much! The extended driveway that goes back to the private entrance was convenient! The bedrooms on opposite sides of the living and kitchen rooms was perfect for privacy! Bathrooms were nice as well as all the furnishings. The location was perfect, quiet but convenient. The beds are super comfy! Book this place, u will be happy you did!! Great communication with the host also!
What a nice place! Though it is a basement, it feels like a home. Well decorated, well stocked with drinks and snacks, full amenities. Large bathroom and kitchenette was more than adequate for our family of four for a long weekend. We didn’t need to do any cooking.

About the host
Hosted by Jehu
Hi all, Welcome to my profile. I enjoy great company of friends, colleagues and folks in my house. That's why I came up into this hosting when a colleague recommended and give it a try. I had work as a Physical therapist in the hospital about 5 years and now I switch to homehealth setting in Chicago downtown and surrounding suburbs. I was hesitant at first as I'm not used to city driving. As I explored Chicago, visiting patient at their houses or high rise condos by Lakeshore drive and by the Water Tower, I was amazed how big, diverse and beautiful Chicagoland in many facets of it that I encourage my guest to visit and explore even in the winter season. Do you know that there's almost 7-8 miles underground tunnel that you can enjoy in the Windy city?
I love to travel and explore new places or activities. Recently tried snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing and island hopping. I experienced great hospitality and what is not during those travels. As your host, I will do my best for you to experience what "great hospitality" is all about. I'm responsible and will be 100% accountable for your stay to be a hassle-free, safe and fun! My place is "almost perfect" and it has the best to offer. Have fun in your travel!
Your host/guest, Jehu
Why they chose this property
I live in this house, quiet and friendly neighborhood- living like in the country setting but few minutes to big cities. This is a half acre property and I'm continuously improving my front and backyard. Currently, I have blackberries, 3 peaches, 2 pears and a small and big apple tree named Paradise. Tomatoes just grow back though not perennial and you'll see different plants or flowers depending on the season. It's a work in progress.
What makes this property unique
It's a unique and beautiful BASEMENT per previous guest review. It has a heated floor -radiant heat. I can't agree enough.
