Me and my girlfriend were looking for a nice place to stay for our anniversary. This was exactly what we were looking for! Place was very cute and cozy in the winter months with the furnace and the modular couch. We plan to come back in the warmer months considering how enjoyable our stay was and to use the grills and fire pit!
This cabin was great for what my wife and I needed on our weekend visit to the New River Gorge area. Great location at the southern end of the New River Gorge National Park but even closer to Bluestone State Park and Bluestone Lake/Marina being just a few minutes from Hinton,WV.
Overall stay was nice. The heater kept going out. We had to keep relighting the pilot. It raind a lot so we had to leave a day early. The place was clean & management was nice
My best friend and I have a shared passion for painting. We scheduled a fall trip and chose this location for scenery and access to state parks. It was perfect! A clean, well appointed little house with hosts who were absolutely wonderful!
We went up to explore the state parks and NRG national Park for my daughter's fall break week. The cabin made for a perfect, warm and dry spot to rest and recharge in the evenings. Everything was as it should be in terms of cleanliness, the kitchen had a better variety of pots/pans/utensils than many bigger STVRs we've stayed at. Overall, we very much enjoyed the stay and will keep this house in mind for future trips to WV.
Sweet litlehouse with all necessities!! Loved the location and surroundings. Had an issue with water and the landlord was over in a flash and took care of it. We loved it and will likely return.
We arrived late at night in the rain, and although the directions had told me there was a keyless entry, the key box by the front door threw me off, and we struggled with that for a minute before I remembered the email. lol Removing that might be a good idea. The cabin was clean, but we did have to contact the owner for more towels, because there were only 2 for 3 adults, and there were only sheets for the pullout couch/bed, no blanket. The response was immediate, though. The most precious soul brought us all needed items while wearing her bathrobe. Thank you for that! The listing, I believe, indicates this cabin can sleep 4; however, the couch/bed is not really capable of that. We only had 3, so it worked, but that couch is tiny. A futon may be a nice upgrade. This cabin was in the perfect location to visit Pipestem, Bluestone, Brush Creek, Camp Creek, and Sandstone. We enjoyed dinner at Lucky Rivers in Hinton. We enjoyed our visit to the area!
Theresa was very responsive and helpful, and they stay was nice. Accommodation had everything we needed and was very clean! Didn’t realize our cottage would be so close to a country highway so we would hear cars in the morning and evening and there was construction next door so we didn’t hang out outside too much. Overall though we were happy with our stay, Hinton was a cute little down and there were some amazing hiking trails within a 30ish minute drive.
Property exactly as described, quaint little cottage on the creek. We did book with a note saying it would be 4 of us for a night, then just 2. However we only had 2 towels and no bedding for the sofa couch. We made due for the evening. Enjoyed our stay for the week, kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies which was great.Just a note: might want to keep an eye on fans. Rest of the place was clean and presentable, but both fans needed a good cleaning.
Tv set up wasn’t good crappy bed sofa bed hard as rock silverware wasn’t much of shower barely worked off on hot water if you plan on staying for more than two days not worth it. More of a place to be for a couple hrs or overnight stay..
