We had the best time with our Drake football family on homecoming weekend. The house had everything we needed and more. The weather was amazing and we thoroughly loved the time spend on the back patio in the mornings and evenings. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Place in Grimes

Had 8 guys for a golf trip. Really comfortable. So nice to eat outside and relax and watch tv and the garage with pool and games is wonderful. Will stay again if in the area.

Everything about this property was great, down to the hosts. Communication was great from the start. The house was super clean and a great place to stay. The outside area was amazing (even though the pool was closed for the season). The checkout was great because all we did was picked up our mess and the host's services took care of all cleaning. Christmas in July!

This was the perfect place for our family to get together for a long weekend! The hosts have thought of everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and entertaining. The game room and pool are amazing! The house had a great layout and was very clean. The neighborhood was perfect for stroller walks and visiting a nearby ice cream store. Thank you so much!

Grimes Getaway

The Lawton family were excellent hosts from check-in through check-out. Great communication and thoughtful responses. The home was more than accommodating with space with plenty of beds, blankets, pillows and amount of bathrooms for the space. Our team loved the oversized game room and full basement as places to chill out after a weekend competing at Hyvee Hall.

ISU Graduation weekend

This was an awesome location and property for our ISU graduate's celebration. We traveled from NE Iowa and Texas, we able to stay at one location and had lots of space to gather and converse. The outdoor space and perfect weather were the perfect combination for a grill out. Hosts were great!! And the game room saw a lot of spirited competition. We would definitely stay again. The pool was opened the night we arrived, so we didnt get to use it. However, it completes the outdoor space. To the hosts......until next time.

Excellent Property

This property is amazing. There was 9 of us total that stayed and we had 5 additional family members join us for the day on Saturday. The outdoor area and pool are perfect. The pool is heated and the slide was a hit. They offered plenty of pool floats and also had a volleyball net for the pool as well. The covered patio is perfect to get out of the sun. Nice area to grill with an outdoor refrigerator. The garage offered a perfect spot to hang out and provide entertainment for all ages. The garage is even air conditioned and heated. Nice safe neighborhood and lots to offer in the Grimes/Des Moines area. Although there is no need to leave the place as there is so much to offer. Communication with the host was quick and Amy replied very quickly. Check in was effortless as well as checkout. The hosts definitely want their guests to enjoy this place and not have to worry about anything. We will definitely be back!

no hot tub

we saw that a hot tub was advertised as well as a ping-pong table, were very disappointed that neither were as advertised. These amenities is why we spent the extra $ for this place. Only 5 adults so we didn't need this big of a house. Also the garage "game-room" was advertised as heated and cooled. No heat found so it was chilly out there if we decided to spend time out there. The basement bedroom with three queen beds are all the memory foam mattresses, if you aren't accustomed to that (we weren't) so very uncomfortable. The kitchen was accurately advertised and did not dissapoint. November stay so we didn't use pool or outdoor area.

I am so sorry to hear about your issues and that our home was less than satisfactory. I wish you would have reached out to me about the heat in the garage, I would have let you know where to turn that on. I am very responsive whenever anyone reaches out about anything. There has never been a hot tub advertised in our listing, only a seasonal heated pool. I apologize about the ping pong table, it was recently broke by a former renter and we haven't had an opportunity to replace it.
