Why Robin Mallory chose Concrete
This is such a peaceful place and the river is beautiful. Easy access to the North Cascades National Park where beauty and hiking opportunities abound.
What makes this Cottage unique
The nearby Community beach is easy to walk to. The road in the community are flat and great for a jog in the morning. I love to sip my coffee from the deck and watch the river.

Clean, well-equipped and well-stocked (all basics except food) kitchen. Nice river view from kitchen and deck! Small but clean bathroom with plenty of towels, TP, soap. Comfortable bed (only used master), plenty of extra linens, modern washer and dryer. Helpful guidebooks and publications for the area. Fans and windows worked well for August cooling. Neighborhood had a wide range socioecenomically, but we never felt unsafe. Owner was very responsive to questions. We’d stay here again.
Peaceful, on the river
A simple cottage, nothing fancy, but kitchen well equipped. Right on the Skagit with a view from the back deck. Quiet. Good location as base camp for hiking in the area.
Excellent Riverside Accommodation
This property was great. It was absolutely clean. The beautiful Skagit River is right in your backyard! There is a fire pit for roasting hot dogs and s'mores. The towels were newer, plush and soft. The beds were comfortable. It's a great home base for venturing further into the Cascades.
Great camp on the river.
Enjoyed exploring North Cascades from this location.
Good spot to stay to explore the Cascades.
Super clean, very private, and amazing spot right on the Skagit river.
Very nice place to stay
Great to be on the shore of the Skagit - beautiful. Every single thing was clean and it was well stocked. I would stay here again
The North Cascades Highway is considered the most scenic highway in Washington State and makes a lovely day trip from the Mallory Cottage. Historic Concrete WA is just 6 miles away and a walking map of this charming town is provided. Mt. Baker and Baker Lake as well as Lake Shannon are nearby as well. Many hiking opportunities nearby and hiking books are provided. The North Cascades National Park visitor's center is 33 miles away. When you visit, be sure to take the short boardwalk trail for an outstanding view. In the winter, eagle watching is very popular up river. There is a wildlife viewing area where Elk are seen regularly on Highway 20..
