Location, location, location!
This custom European-style 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse-style home, just steps from Monterey Bay, has fantastic views of whitewater, sailboats, sea life and the mountains beyond.

The 1,800 sq ft home is just minutes to downtown Pacific Grove, Cannery Row and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and a short drive to Carmel or Pebble Beach. A walking and bike path along the shoreline extends from Cannery Row to Lover’s Point, past the famed succulent carpet of pink blooms, around Pt. Pinos with its trademark lighthouse, all the way to Spanish Bay and world-famous Pebble Beach.

A charming wooden gate welcomes you to a brick pathway lined with ferns and trumpet vines that leads to the front door. Enter a vaulted foyer with an Art Nouveau stained-glass chandelier, a hand-carved Moroccan mirror and an intricately carved antique wood chest from India.

The reverse floor plan takes full advantage of the bay views. Climb the stairs from the entryway and enter a spacious living room with rustic Old-World charm imparted by a beamed vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace with a carved and gilded wooden mirror over the mantle, a sofa and upholstered side chairs. The only touch of modernity is a large flat-screen TV with cable service. Bay windows look out to the handsome neighboring homes, Monterey cypresses and the ocean.

The upper level kitchen and dining room feature tranquil views of white-capped waves on the bay and beyond to distant mountains. Enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped, white ceramic-tiled kitchen from which you may catch sight of an occasional whale or a pod of dolphins. Cooks will enjoy the vintage Wolf gas stove, side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. A long countertop divides the cooking and dining areas which allows the cook to serve diners without missing any of the fun.

The adjacent dining area has a long wooden antique table seats up to 8 beneath a European wrought-iron chandelier. Enjoy daylight views of Monterey Bay sea life while dining.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 on the second-floor has a charmingly rustic character created by the wood-beamed ceiling, bronze Moroccan chandelier, king bed, walk-in closet and a view of the bay. The large terracotta tiled bathroom with its walk-in shower, his-and-her sinks and a separate commode complete the suite.

Two bedrooms and a full bath are located on the lower level near the entrance of the home. Both feature rustic wrought-iron chandeliers, Parisian shutters as headboards and comfortable mattresses and linens.
Bedroom #2, with a garden view, has a king bed and a walk-in closet.
Bedroom #3 has an ocean view and a queen bed.
The lower level bathroom features a large step down tiled shower.

All three bedrooms have Smart TVs that are wifi-enabled so guests can log into their own streaming subscriptions (no cable; guests should bring their own logins to access their subscription accounts like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.).

A dedicated laundry room is located on the lower level.
One-car, detached garage, a driveway for 1 additional car, as well as ample on-street parking.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

This is a townhouse style home with a reverse floor plan. It is one side of a two unit building. See also #3096 to view the other unit.

Beautiful Place and Convenient Location
We were very pleased with our stay. It was clean and a beautiful location. It is truly a quick walk to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. We will be staying here again. Only complaint was the pocket doors would not close and would get stuck. I noticed the property management and they offered to come out right away to fix it. Other than that it was spacious and a perfect place to stay.

Fits right in
The property was a great fit for our needs. Very well situated with excellent access to the coastline and the aquarium. The property shows the expected wear of being on the ocean’s edge, but served our needs well. Not any different than the other homes in the area. It does need a bit of updating, so don’t expect pristine, but still quite comfortable and accommodating with plenty of space and amenities. Sanctuary was very easy to communicate with with plenty of pre stay and arrival communication. We would absolutely come back to this villa or to another Sanctuary property.

Spring Getaway
There were 3 of us for 4 nights. Unable to get their until the 2nd night due to illness, unable to recover the 2 lost days. Location was perfect, unit was lovely, minimalist decor (which I love). Kitchen was not cleaned very well upon arrival. Seems from check out the exiting guests are in charge of cleaning the dishes etc. We would definately go back. The beds were perfect very comfortable, felt like home.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Did you receive the note I left on the table? House lovely, lived-in comfortable and location fantastic! Cobwebs on chandeliers & recessed lights & lamps. Cobwebs in primary bath (ceiling & corners). Refrigerator unclean. Dishes in cupboard actually dirty (food caked on surfaces). Blinds in primary bedroom do not work. Dishwasher doesn't clean dishes. These are all easy to correct. I loved my stay! Hearing the waves crash on shore every night and the seals bark in the early morning was magical.
