I wanted something remote and private with views/access to water, but still a close drive to check out all the little towns and Acadia National Park. This had everything we needed. Great stay!
We enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with the many amenities provided. Bed was very comfortable and entire studio was very clean and newly maintained.

Wonderful! We’re so glad you enjoyed the bungalow and the comfort, cleanliness, and amenities we provide. And such great weather for your getaway to Acadia! Very nice.
We were looking for someplace to get away from busy jobs and slow down. This checked all the boxes. It was so quiet we had to adjust. Location was perfect as it was close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor to allow easy access but far enough away that you never saw the crowds. Hosts were very accommodating.

Just as we hope for our guests. We’re so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing your experience, and you’re welcome to come again next time you want to get away.
What a wonderful little gem! The space is petite but incredibly well designed, with all the comforts you might need, including a surprisingly good little washer/dryer. The studio was immaculate with every inch used thoughtfully a from a functional perspective, but also an eye for beauty. There were large windows around half the cabin that let lots of air and light in and made it feel like “glamping” in the trees because of its location on the larger property. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!!

College graduation Acadia hiking trip for my daughter
We were lucky to be the very first guests to stay at this new listing. The unit was spotless, and the listing was very accurate to what was available (with the exception of the cove which was not accessible during our stay due to stair access being repaired). The unit was more secluded, but was located in the back yard of the main house. It was about 30- 35 minutes from Acadia Welcome Center and Bar Harbor, which was where we spent most of our time. The owner was friendly and easy to contact and provided helpful information about the local area. We had a wonderful time during our Acadia hiking trip!

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, Charlynn! The cleanliness, the seclusion, and proximity to so many great features of the Park and Bar Harbor. And now that stair access to the private beach is fully restored, we hope you’ll come again soon!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The space is renovated and really well done. It is so quiet and peaceful overlooking the water. If you don’t mind not being in the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place for you. We were close to hikes in the area we wanted to do and did trips into the surrounding towns including Bar Harbor. The host, Joy, was very responsive and gave great advice on places/things to do and our trip into Bar Harbor. The only few things is that the wifi can be a bit spotty, one of the light/fan fixtures was not working (informed Joy), and the stairs to the cove were not useable as they were being re-done. I was a bit bummed we couldn’t get down to the water and utilize the beach. Overall, it’s a really beautiful studio, location and I would recommend!

We're so glad you enjoyed the bungalow and its peaceful and beautiful location, Brittany! Thanks for letting us know about the light and the wifi - we're on it as we speak! and the stairs are now complete. Perfect for your return visit! Come again any time. All the best, Joy & Peter
Joy is a pleasure to have as a host, this property is located on her family’s homestead, plenty of windows but also plenty of curtains for privacy. WiFi reception was great, there was an extender in the bungalow. You have your own parking space which is in a driveway away from the main road which felt very safe. There are trees on the property causing it to feel secluded from the road and private. The steps to the waterfront were on the other side of the lawn/property and provided for a private entrance to the cove/water. Everything in the bungalow was new, there were a lot of different cooking utensils and a 2-burner induction cooktop. After booking we received a 10 page welcome guide written by the host which has a lot of helpful advice regarding where to eat, hike, and get around, and all the information about checking in and checking out, as well as directions. One thing to note, make sure to use the proper town name as there are multiple similar addresses on the island, and the town name will help you get to the right place. 10/10 would stay here again. :)

Why they chose this property
We love the Quiet Side of Acadia, where you can enjoy everything that Acadia has to offer without being in the hustle of the traffic and crowds of Bar Harbor all day and night. An oceanfront setting, the comforts and conveniences of home, and access to a greater range of activities than you can possibly pursue in a week's time combine to give you a vacation experience that you’ll treasure for years to come.
What makes this property unique
The Bungalow is convenient to all that Acadia has to offer, without being directly in the noise and traffic of Bar Harbor. You are directly on the water, and can enjoy privacy, ocean views, and explore the Park at your leisure.
