This property was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Before we even arrived, I informed the host that my mother would be bringing her service dog, she performs a physical service, not an emotional support animal. When we first arrived, we discovered the location on the map is completely misrepresented. We paid a premium to be close to our destination and instead had to wheel my mobility-impaired mother several blocks. There were better options nearby for less money.Second, this is not a 2 bedroom. It's a 1 bedroom with a loft. No door, no closet, no window, no privacy.Third, the elevator hasn't been serviced in 24 years. The certificate expired in 2002, which likely explains why it stopped working mid-stay and we had to call down to a neighbor to send it up.I was prepared to let all of this go until the day before departure when I got "the call". The host called to charge an additional cleaning fee for dog hair in the elevator and hallway. I reminded him that my mother's service animal is legally protected and he cannot charge additional fees. I swept the elevator, hall, and the house before leaving as a courtesy. He billed me 300 regardless.VRBO sided with me but because I had completed my stay their options were limited.Every aspect of this property was misrepresented, and it ended in what I can only describe as extortion.0/5, do not recommend. There is a bar down the street called "Little Bar", where I met some amazing people, I was greatful for that.
