Fantastic location and very quiet. The beach is peaceful and very clean, the neighbor has very little traffic and was great for a morning walk. The walking proximity to the beach was an easy trip. We spent all of our time in the house on the front porch, I don’t think we ever turned on the television. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.
Family trip, 3 kids, 5,10,15. Location was outstanding, property worked well for us. Could use a little updating, but no complaints really. Being pet friendly was a big plus, as we have a small, elderly dog. She enjoyed laying on the deck, and walking on the beach.Kids had a great time, and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Seemed like 50 yards or so. Weather was hot, but being so close to the beach it was pleasant. Beautiful sunrise which we enjoyed each morning. Would stay again.
We loved this beach House. It is close to the beach entrance, just across the road. There’s a beautiful view of the beach from the screened in porch. Its a great place to chill and relax. We hope to stay here again.
This is the 2nd year in a row we have rented this little house. We love the view of the Gulf from the screened-in porch, love the porch, and the walk to beach is so easy! We’ll stay again!
We had the best time at Pott’s Spot! Easy commute to the beach and a great view of the ocean. The property was clean and well kept. The house looked even better in person.
This is our favorite vacation place to stay. The window light and views are amazing; the whole place is extremely comfortable. I never want to leave. We will be back!
We brought our family of four as well as our two dogs. This place was perfect. We had a few questions before the trip, and Martha was quick to get back to us every time. The screened-in porch is key. There weren't a ton of bugs at our time of year, but it would be perfect at a more buggy time which would make us rent again!.Having an outdoor shower was perfect for getting the sand off the dogs and us. The house was just enough space for all of us with a great cross breeze at night. We loved that the beach access was just across the street and wasn't "Spring Break" crazy busy. The dogs had room to run, and we could be back and forth easily. We really loved this place!
Felt fortunate to find this property; very well maintained and lacking nothing. Found the back porch and deck to be the best for relaxing and enjoying shooting stars
Great property exactly as promised. Obvious the owners are involved and continue to upgrade and modernize.

Perfect, Relaxing Beach House
We have stayed at this house every summer for the past few years, and, to me, it is the perfect little beach house. It is in a quiet, private community, and a short walk down the driveway and across the street and you are on the uncrowded beach. The screened in front porch is wonderful! A great place if you are looking for quiet and relaxing.

Thank you Lisa; we are so glad you enjoy our home. I could absolutely live on the screened porch! The large table and comfy lounge chairs make me never want to leave. Having breakfast and coffee there is just the best. And, the breeze seems to always be blowing; it makes even the hottest day seem cooler. My husband cannot get out in the sun so he enjoys the feel of being on the beach while relaxing in the porch's shade.
This vintage beach house was very clean, had everything you need, cozy and so close to the beach. The porch was everything, you have a beautiful view of the gulf and can hear the waves crashing! Mrs. Martha is such a doll and was available anytime! My husband, our furbabies and I will definitely be booking again!!
Nice house. Clean in good condition. Across the street from beach. One minor disappointment the second tv had been removed.

Thanks for the great review. So glad you enjoyed the home. The second TV actually belonged to our winter renter and they take it with them when they leave. The owner has asked that we not put a TV in any other room.
Contact and communication was first rate. We had a beautiful time through rain and shine. The porch was a morning noon and night place to be. The access to the beach is easy and the beach is the best.

Thanks Stanford. I agree with you about that porch; it is my favorite thing about that house! Everytime I visit I just want to stay and listen to the waves!
We loved our time at Pott’s Spot. The outside was a little dated, but that didn’t matter to us! The inside was a little updated with everything to meet your needs minus a dishwasher, which is of course in the listing. We loved the A frame screened in porch, outdoor shower, and closet full of beach stuff the most. It was a quick walk/golf cart ride to the public beach access just a couple houses down and across.
This house is a wonderful location with wonderful features. The beach is just a short distance away making it easy to go back and forth as needed. The house is a great space and we throughly enjoyed having a screened in porch overlooking the gulf.
When we arrived we noticed one of the screens was pushed out in a corner, and Martha came to get it fixed up. We greatly appreciated her attentiveness to making our stay wonderful.

About the host
Hosted by Martha Howard, Gulf Coast Keyholders and Exit Realty, Gulf Shores
This home has been in the Potts family for many years. Children and grandchildren have spent many happy days playing in the surf and chasing the sand crabs at night. While we wish we could be at the beach full time, jobs call, and we do not get to visit as often as we would like. Between visits we like to share our special home with guests we know will enjoy and care for it as we do.
Why they chose this property
Reminiscent of times gone by, Cabana Beach is a quiet community down a gravel road that leads to the Gulf. It is dotted with homes both old and new where family and friends gather year after year. Besides having beach access, this community also has a bayside lot with a dock for those who like the calmer waters of Mobile Bay. It is the perfect place to make memories!
What makes this property unique
Located in an little known area the home sits on a single gravel road across the street from the beach. It has fabulous views from a wonderful screened porch and the beaches in this neighborhood are pet friendly! If you have your dog with you he can easily walk to and play on the beach with you!
