About this property
Paradise Found! Stop Looking!
You’ve heard of “Paradise Lost?” but this is…..Paradise FOUND because you’ve found the perfect place for your Galveston Getaway!
PARADISE FOUND invites you to a privately owned and professionally managed property - the perfect place for your Galveston Getaway. With its calming colors, this tranquil condo sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. This fully livable one bedroom/one bath condo, located at The Victorian condominium complex, on Galveston’s famed Seawall offers ahhhhhhh-mazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. Located within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and retailers.
PARADISE FOUND is truly special with a functional kitchen featuring full size oven/range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator and is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. A Keurig duo coffee maker has a fully stocked coffee station for coffee or tea by the cup or by the pot. The large kitchen island accommodates three people comfortably.
This condo features 2 smart TVs, basic cable and Wifi. The couch folds out to make a comfy, full-size sofa bed. An electric fireplace provides ambiance and/or heat on a chilly beach night.
In the bedroom, you’ll enjoy a good night’s sleep on the new, queen size, pillow-top mattress. There are drawers for storage and bedside tables to offer additional storage and light.
The bathroom features an oversize shower with a new, sliding glass door and dual shower heads, a lighted mirror and drawers and shelves for personal storage.
The Victorian complex is located on Seawall Boulevard across from Babe’s Beach on Galveston’s Seawall – protected by traffic signals at both corners so you can safely walk across to the beach. There’s a huge big box store that starts with a W next door for all your shopping needs, and eateries in walking distance for sandwiches and BBQ.
You will have exclusive use of the entire condo-and share the pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis court and grounds including BBQ pergolas, fish cleaning station and a multitude of outdoor spaces with other guests and residents of the Victorian condominium complex. The complex has 2 pool, one of which is heated in the seasons when God does not do this for us.There are two hot tubs,a fitness center and picnic/BBQ areas. There are also 2 hot tubs,a tennis court, and BBQ grills and picnic areas sprinkled around the complex.
Remember that all people are considered people regardless of age or size or how they “usually” sleep.Occupancy rules are set by the owners in combination with the fire department and the owners Association.Thank you for recognizing that even infants count in the occupancy (though we don’t count pregnant women twice.)
We provide starter supplies prior to each guest’s arrival which include paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish cleaning options, trash bag and starter supplies of coffee. These are intended to get you started–figure out which shopping option works best for your group, and make that first grocery run.Nothing worse than running in from the car and not being able to use the restroom,or waking that first morning with no coffee! These likely won’t last your group the duration of your stay–but they will get you on your way!
All beds are made with fresh linens prior to your arrival so if you arrive late, you don’t need to make the beds–or bring your own sheets,or rent them from a local vendor. We provide one bath, wash and hand towel for each guest the home sleeps (10).
We do not provide beach towels–we used to–but they tended to go home with our guests–we do have customized beach towels available for rent during your stay. For this unit the cost is $35 for the duration of your stay.We will need to have a credit card in the event any of them go home with you and the replacement cost is $25.00 per towel.
While there is a broom/dustpan, mop/bucket–we do not expect you to clean before you leave. In fact,we don’t even ask that you strip the beds.We ask only that you remove any food from the home and refrigerator, leave notes for future guests about the treasures you found in restaurants, souvenir shops,or excursions while on the island, call us to make your next reservation, and lock the door behind you. If you spend any time at the beach,we would only say it’s nice to use the outdoor showers by the pool, and shake off your towels before returning into the home and if you happen to bring in a bunch of sand,if you would sweep that up it would be great.Lots of sand can make for a slippery floor throughout the home–safety first! After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.3-5 days prior to your scheduled arrival–we will email you directly (the guest who made the reservation and provided their email address) with driving directions and check-in instructions. We will then call 24-48 hours later to ensure you received it,verify we provided the correct code to the home, and answer any last minute questions you may have. We are available at any time to assist you or answer questions–but we like to tell you in advance so you don’t think it’s a scam when someone asks you to verify the code. In general–we leave our guests “alone” to enjoy their stay–however–please don’t think that is because we don’t want to help you–we do!
We kindly request that you follow our HVAC professionals recommendations: • Please do not change the system more than 3 degrees per hour. • Please do not set the AC below 70 degrees in summer, or above 74 in winter. • Keep the fan setting on auto. • If/when doors or windows are open – please do not run the system. • There should not be more than a total of a 20 degree differential between outside and inside temperatures to keep excessive stress off of the system.
You certainly COULD stay here without a car-you can walk to shopping, eateries and the beach, there is public transportation nearby, and there are several local and nationally "branded" taxi services as well as ride share (Uber, Lyft) programs in place as well as meal deliveries (UberEats, and DoorDash available as well.
The Victorian condominium complex–like almost every condominium complex and hotel in Galveston, charges a parking/resort/amenity fee. This is not a charge from My Galveston Getaway and is paid directly to the complex upon your arrival. They will issue a parking permit and may issue wristbands that identify guests who are authorized at the complex. They will also provide guests with the codes for the gates to enter the property -both drive-through and walk through, pools, hot tubs, fitness center and the WiFi code which is changed monthly. It is a complex-wide WiFi system. The charge is $40 + tax and includes up to 2 parking permits. This is for stays that are up to 7 consecutive nights in duration. For stays of 8-31 days it is $80 + tax,and for extended stays it is $80 + tax per month. We are unable to collect this in advance and pay it to the Victorian on your behalf. We don’t get to make the rules, we just play by them!
There are several pay-per-use laundry facilities at the Victorian, these accept credit and debit cards as methods of payment. There is not a washer/dryer inside of the condo.
Many of our owners have switched out to “Smart” TV’s – so bring your login information with you to sign in to your own subscription services, and don’t forget to log-out before leaving.
The Victorian complex does not allow renters to have a pet – so if you travel with Fido or Fifi – please check out the other My Galveston Getaway managed properties that ARE dog friendly. While true service animals are an exception – you very well may be asked by the complex to provide the verification. For short term rental/vacation purposes – emotional support animals are not considered true support animals and we are unable to make exceptions to a rule that is in place and enforced by a complex in which we manage condos. Kindly be respectful.
All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% non-smoking/non-vaping properties.
Galveston is a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico. The island is susceptible to rainstorms, thunderstorms and even a hurricane now and then. Sometimes these result in temporary power and WiFi outages. We strongly encourage our renters to consider purchasing trip interruption/cancellation protection either through the platform that you book through or some other source. My Galveston Getaway issues refunds if a governmental official issues a mandatory evacuation of the island. Unfortunately we are unable to control sunshine, temperatures and mosquitos and do not refund other than pursuant to our policy based on evacuation orders. Thank you for understanding.
Again – the parking/resort/amenities/facilities fee is one charged by the condominium complex, not by the owner of the condo or My Galveston Getaway and we appreciate your understanding.
Elevators on the gulf coast, especially this close to the beach, are more susceptible than others to malfunction due to the moisture, humidity and salt air.Thank you for understanding that we at My Galveston Getaway have no control over the functionality of elevators.Any time we become aware of an elevator outage we ensure that the complex is aware, and request an ETA for it's repair, and we will share that information with our guests when asked about it. It helps when guests do not (and do not allow their children to) play in elevators, push more buttons than necessary, or hold the doors open for others in any way.

My husband and I took our first trip ever with out any kids and we had a blast. We have stayed at The Victorian before, but as soon as we walked into Paradise Found by My Galveston Getaways, we knew we made the perfect choice when choosing accommodations. The owners really put thought into every detail of their properties and we LOVED it! We will definitely be staying again!

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We cannot wait to host your next getaway!
This condo is excellently maintained! Clean, described accurately and no annoying problems. So well decorated without being over the top. The coffee bar is such a nice touch, however directions for using the 1 cup maker would have been helpful. It is hard to figure out something new at 5AM! We have stayed at different condos at the Victorian for 5 times, so we knew what to expect of the facilities. Fortunately all are neighbors were quiet and our stay was very peaceful. If there were any suggestions we could offer they would be 1) reading lamps in the living room and 2) room darkening/privacy drapes over both windows and 3) small baking dishes (we left some disposable ones for others to use). We would be glad to stay at this unit again.
Condo ( Unit) is excellent ; However property management gave me wrong codes to the main gate as weel as wrong condo number ,( elevator does not work, jaquzi, iwas cold , and the fitness room is rusty and old , then was given the wrong code to enter property and was charged 35 to use amenities

I am glad that the condo (which is what we manage) was great and would have been a 5 star review if only what we do was reviewed. We do not manage the complex, and we do tell everyone in our listings about the facilities access fee. In VRBO Listing:"The Victorian condominium complex–like almost every condominium complex and hotel in Galveston, charges a parking/resort/amenity fees. This is not a charge from My Galveston Getaway and is paid directly to the complex upon your arrival. They will issue a parking permit and may issue wristbands that identify guests who are authorized at the complex. They will also provide guests with the codes for the gates to enter the property - both drive-through and walk through, pools, hot tubs, fitness center and the WiFi code which is changed monthly. It is a complex-wide WiFi system. The charge is $35 tax and includes up to 2 parking permits. This is for stays that are up to 7 consecutive nights in duration. For stays of 8-31 days it is $70 tax, and for extended stays it is $70 tax per month. We are unable to collect this in advance and pay it to the Victorian on your behalf. We don’t get to make the rules, we just play by them!" The front desk staff of the Victorian - not My Galveston Getaway, manages the pools, hogates (and their codes) the fitness room and elevators. There is a second elevator to this condo which functioned through the duration of your stay.

Our stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The property was incredibly well-stocked, making it feel like a home away from home. The starter pack with essentials was such a thoughtful touch, and having coffee readily available was a much-appreciated bonus to start the mornings right. The decor was tasteful and inviting, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere without being overdone or complicated.
We also loved how everything was easy to use—no overly complex instructions or setups. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it simple to prepare meals, and the entire space was immaculately clean.
The only minor suggestion would be to include a standard-size ironing board in the closet for added convenience, though the available options was at least something bs ironing on bed.
Overall, the attention to detail and comfort exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free getaway!
Okay....First things first the property was cute and was as pictured, including the distance to the beach, so I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very convenient being able to walk to sonic and Walmart instead of dealing with parking and getting through a pretty busy intersection. Also the after hours girl, 10 out of 10. Our fire alarm kept beeping randomly, and it was ear piercingly loud. She handled it immediately. However, I found the communication with the host to be less than friendly. We were told we would receive a little goodie bag that was ours to keep. The contents of this 'goodie bag' were 1 very cheap roll of paper towels & toilet paper & TWO dishwasher tablets. Ummmmm. Ok. A sign on the front door that said sand needs to stay outside, how much sand their house keeping cleans up xyz. It's a beach property! Was there a dust pan or vacuum provided? Also no. So I swept twice a day into a corner. There was a chunk of someone's hair in the showe. Also a 'rule book' that said things like: -Beach towels are for the beach, house towels are for the house. No beach towels were provided.-Do not turn the AC lower than 74. It's muggy and humid! If that would have been on the description when I booked, I never would've booked this property.-DO NOT to strip the bed or pillows, but leave them intact, with everything on it. Obviously that immediately gave me the ick and made me feel like I'm sleeping in a dirty bed from the last renters. So that's that.
