The house is in Marathon's waterfront neighborhood, a calm spot in the heart of the Florida Keys. The surrounding waters are full of marine life, and the nearby coral reefs (including Sombrero Reef) offer solid snorkeling and diving.



The Seven Mile Bridge connects the Middle Keys to the Lower Keys and is worth a drive or walk for the views alone.



Marathon has strong fishing year-round. Charters and guides are available for offshore and flats trips. You can also fish directly from the dock.



Local restaurants range from casual seafood spots to waterfront dining. The area has shops and boutiques along the main strip as well.

It was an awesome house and everything outside. The only thing we could find wrong was not having a dining table and not having access to elevator.

Family vacation

Overall the place is beautiful. However, The fridge smelled like fish. There were ants. The pool area was really nice. Pool was heated per our request. We did have to request propane refills for grill and fire place on the 2nd night as 3 tanks empty. House was spacious and comfortable

Spring break fishing trip

Great house- it was plenty of room with all bedrooms having their own bathrooms. Also was the perfect spot to bring your boat/ trailer with plenty of parking and convenient to both the gulf and Atlantic waters. Plenty of toys to keep the kids busy and hangout downstairs by the pool. I would recommend this house to a friend. One downside was the marina across the backyard has bright lights that shine in all throughout the night so I do recommend the owner gets some blackout curtains in the bedrooms.

Brand New, but with some stuff to be worked out

We have stayed in the Keys at numerous VRBO properties over the years. This was a new neighborhood for us. We took a chance and booked because it was a brand new property. Overall we were comfortable. There are 4 nice bedrooms. We had 6 adults and 4 kids all 10-13. Every adult couple had their own bedroom and bathroom and the kids shared one of the bunk rooms with their own bathroom. All living space in this house is 2 stories up. Only way to access the living space is stairs. Be aware that new FL construction cannot have a bathroom or any living space on the ground floor. This was new to us. Not too big of deal as we are all able to climb stairs and lug heavy suitcases and groceries up two flights of stairs. Just annoying when hanging by the pool and you need the restroom or want a drink. Bring a cooler down to the pool. The pool does not get any sun. We moved the lounge chairs to the “gravel pit” and sat in the sun there. The kitchen is very well appointed. There is only one fridge and a wine fridge. We made it work using coolers for drinks so we could keep all the food in the fridge. Other than that it has everything you need. The 2 biggest issues we had were ants all over the house, and the smoke alarm. The ants showed up right away. We contacted Villa Paradiso and they contacted pest control service. The ants remained with us the entire week. The smoke alarm went off our last night there starting at 1am. It wouldn’t stop so we left early.

Regarding the issues you mentioned, I'd like to address them directly: For the ant situation, we did respond immediately by contacting pest control when you reported it. We take pest management very seriously, and our records show the treatment was effective. I apologize if you continued to notice them afterward. About the smoke alarm incident you reported at 1 AM - this is concerning to hear. Our monitoring system doesn't show any alarm activations during your stay, and we weren't contacted about this issue. We always have staff available 24/7 for emergency assistance, which could have helped resolve this immediately if we'd been notified. We've also noted that there may have been some misunderstandings regarding property boundaries. For safety and insurance reasons, we do ask that all guests respect the clearly marked property lines as outlined in our welcome information. We appreciate you highlighting the positive aspects of the home, including the well-appointed kitchen. Based on your helpful feedback about outdoor convenience, we're considering adding additional refrigeration options near the pool area. Thank you again for staying with us. We value all feedback as it helps us continue improving our guest experience.
