About this property
Two Sisters South - Daytona/Orlando
Why stay in a crowded, noisy hotel when you can enjoy the privacy, space, and comforts of home?
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is family- and pet-friendly, convenient to the Intracoastal Waterway, near riverfront parks, and minutes from the World's Most Famous Beach. The recently-updated house features a large screened patio overlooking a huge, shaded and fenced backyard.
AREA ATTRACTIONS include Daytona International Speedway and The Daytona 500 Experience, Ocean Walk Village, free concerts at the Daytona Beach Bandshell, Daytona Lagoon, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Marine Science Center, Museum of Arts and Sciences, the World Golf Hall of Fame, LPGA International, USA Tennis Florida, the Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and the immense Daytona Flea and Farmers Market, among many more. In addition, Two Sisters South is approximately 60 minutes from St. Augustine area attractions, and 90 minutes from Orlando area attractions. Why not combine a beach vacation with a daytrip or two to Disney World or Universal?
ANNUAL EVENTS in the area include the Daytona 500, Coke Zero 400, Rolex 24, Bike Week, Biketoberfest, Jeep Beach, Turkey Run (the largest classic car show in the United States) and Spring Turkey Run, New Smyrna Beach Balloon & Sky Fest, P1 AquaX Watercraft Competition, Halifax Art Festival, Festival of Magic, Film Festival, Blues Festival, Greek Festival, Wine & Food Festival, Craft Beer & BBQ Festival/Dream Cruise Car Show, and the Beer, Wine & Brew Festival.
GOLF & TENNIS are huge in Central Florida. With more than two dozen championship courses and moderate year-round weather, the Daytona Beach area boasts some of the country's most beautiful and challenging courses -- but without the hefty greens fees. The area offers courses designed by Rees Jones, Arthur Hills, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lloyd Clifton and Bill Amick, and is home to the headquarters of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and its two 4-star courses - only a quick 5 mile drive from Two Sisters South. Even closer, you'll find the friendly Riviera Country Club and it's beautifully manicured 18-hole course, updated by Lloyd Clifton since it was originally built in the 1930s. RCC is only 1.5 miles away.
Daytona Beach is also the headquarters of USA Tennis Florida, adjacent to LPGA International. The center offers 24 clay hydro-courts, 12 lighted courts for night play, daily play, and tournaments.
AREA OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES include beach combing, surfing, sailing, kayaking, wildlife watching - the area has manatees, otters, alligators, turtles, osprey, and even baby sea turtles hatching (seasonal), surf casting and sport fishing, para sailing, bicycling, disc golf, zip lining, go-kart racing, ice skating, ghost tours, and more.
NIGHTLIFE in the Daytona Beach area features a huge range of clubs, including Razzles, Froggy's Saloon, The Ocean Deck, and Boot Hill, and restaurants ranging from the Dancing Avocado Kitchen and Betty's A1A Cafe to the Chart House, Tuscan's and The Cellar. Our guide includes some of our local favorites.

About the host
Hosted by Mary and Melissa
We are sisters who inherited this house from our parents, who passed in 2007 & 2008. We are keeping the house and making it available to share our love of Florida coastal living with other families! We have another vacation rental home on Long Island Sound in Connecticut; for your future travel plans, Two Sisters CT is also listed on this site.
Why they chose this property
After visiting several times a year from New England, we moved to Florida in the mid-1970s. Our parents chose the area for its climate, central location, natural features and recreational activities. They chose the house for its spacious, comfortable rooms and enormous yard - lots of room for kids and big dogs to run. These are the same reasons we think you'll love it for your family vacation!
What makes this property unique
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! The beach and the Intracoastal Waterway (Halifax River) are readily accessible. One block off the Halifax, Two Sisters South is within easy walking distance of pleasant city parks and piers, where you can watch the occasional launch from Kennedy Space Center, fly a kite in the almost constant subtropical breeze, or stroll the Halifax River Trail (also known as the Halifax River Greenway).
The house is situated in a quiet family neighborhood, yet convenient to dining, nightlife, shopping, events and outdoor activities. You're close to attractions, yet only minutes from the real, natural Florida where there are forests, springs, lakes, state parks, and wildlife sanctuaries - where you can fish, birdwatch or catch a glimpse of dolphins, manatees, or even an alligator in the wild. One our favorite nearby bicycle / motorcycle rides is The Loop ( which is also a nice drive on four wheels, and offers several foot trails too.
And best of all, you can bring your WHOLE family - even the furry family members! The extra large screened patio offers a relaxing spot to enjoy a tea or coffee and a magazine while your furry family members play in the huge fenced backyard. Or for socialization, take them to nearby Riviera Oaks Dog Park, featuring small and large dog areas, a pond and a 1-mile walking path.
