Cabin on French Quarter Creek with boat ramp and beautiful view
Cozy private getaway located on French Quarter Creek, within the Cooper River Watershed and adjacent to the Francis Marion National Forest. The cabin has been completely remodeled and is approximately 1,000 square feet with 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 4 singles in the bunk room) and 1 bathroom. The living room is loaded with windows and overlooks the backyard and French Quarter Creek. The cabin sits on almost an acre and is very private, being the last house on the road. The huge deck runs the width of the cabin and overlooks the creek. Off the beaten path, but close to everything. 10 minutes from Shipyard Park, 20 minutes from Mt Pleasant, 30 minutes from Daniel Island, and 45 minutes from downtown Charleston.
There is a boat ramp on the property where you can launch your own boat, or paddle one of the kayaks we have on the property. You can fish right from the backyard, enjoy the fire pit and adirondack chairs, or just relax and enjoy the view. French Quarter Creek is fresh water, but tidal with 2 high tides and 2 low tides each day. Although beautiful, this is a blackwater creek with abundant wildlife including Alligators. Swimming is not recommended.

Very nice place. We enjoyed the scenery. Such a cute little property. Clean place. Was able to catch a fish. Very well stocked with pots, pans, and cutlery. Would stay here again if in the area. Host was great as well.
House was beautiful and clean, Erik was VERY responsive and helpful with everything! Seen an alligator and the kids were so excited! Very beautiful property and we look forward to staying again in the future!!
Great, quiet location. Gave the location a 4 on location and neighborhood only because connectivity can be a bit spotty and our group had mixed reactions (some loved that, some not so much). Otherwise, well-stocked, relaxing, great for a little fishing, drinking morning coffee on the porch overlooking the waterway, viewing the sunset over the waterway...just an overall quiet, relaxing spot away from the craziness of the city.
The cabin is very well appointed, and has everything you need for your stay. Good communication from the owner, and friendly neighbors. We enjoyed our stay.
Clean, beautifully decorated, and peaceful location. We really enjoyed it, especially being by the creek.
The only hiccups were that the water/sewage had a bad smell and there were a lot of half eaten food in the fridge when we got there.
This was the perfect spot for me to stay while in town for my wedding weekend, and such a cute little house. It was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the creek at sunset. I only wish I could have stayed longer!
We loved the cabin. It was just as it was pictured. Great yard and fun fishing. Close to Shipyard Park as we were there for baseball. Do bring big spray.
My wife, kids, and mom stayed for 3 nights and loved this place. House is very well cleaned and stocked and the yard is beautiful. We saw and heard tons of wildlife and so many trees and flowers. Nice quiet neighborhood and friendly folks. We loved it and thought it was perfect.
We came to the area for a baseball tournament at shipyard. The proximity of this home to shipyard was wonderful about a 16 minute drive! The house had everything we could’ve possibly needed, including extra blankets and towels! The house having a washing machine was an additional plus in being there for a baseball tournament! The guys enjoyed trying to fish though they didn’t catch anything this go around. We will definitely be back again!
My family of four throughly enjoyed our stay at this cute home. The setting is so quiet and calm. The inside is charming with many modern touches and updates yet keeping the original doors and knobs taking us back to our younger days. We would stay here again if back at Shipyard for baseball or softball tournaments. The furniture and beds were all comfortable and very nice. Such a cute place to stay!
We played a tournament at shipyard park and the location of this home was closer than any hotel. We were extremely happy with the cleanliness of the house. It accommodates everything you need for your stay and we could not find one thing we needed that they didn’t have! Communication was wonderful and even got to meet the MRS host as we checked in which was nice! The kids enjoyed fishing in the creek and some alligator friends even showed up. 100% recommend this house (and especially if you’re coming for baseball). We will be returning!
I thought I left my review already, but maybe it didn't go through..
This cabin is wonderfully cozy with a beautiful private view of the tidal creeks. The accommodations inside are spacious with more than just the daily essentials that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The whole cabin is full of character and exudes a traditional, yet ecletic lowcountry atmosphere. I wish we could have stayed longer, especially when most of our trip was rained out. We hope to return with the kids next time. The only obstacle for us is that we cannot usually take our dog on vacations and this place is not pet friendly. However, we understand and respect an owners wish when it comes to pets because we know there are issues that come with having pets inside that may limit their potential clientele or add extra burdens to the owners use/cost of the property. If its a dogless trip to visit our nearby friends, this place is definitely at the top of my list!
The house was furnished nicely and it was convenient to the locations we were visiting. We enjoyed the creek even though we didn't catch any fish. There was an entry gate which had to be opened and closed each time we went in and out. This caused no major issue. We have a few suggestions: there should be a book informing visitors of house procedures: how TV works especially the one in the main bedroom - seems remote to the actual TV was gone. It has ROKU but had to be cut on and off by hand and would not change any channels; check-out procedures: where to put used linen, and definitely instructions on cleaning out the refrigerator. There was milk, dressings, frozen food, etc in it. Additionally, would suggest that owner have someone look at the water - it has the smell of hydrogen sulfide gas (rotten eggs). If you have respiratory issues or headaches, this may be an issue.
