Shipyard weekend
We came in town for a baseball tournament at Shipyard Park. The location of the house to the field was great, it was nice to not be on the heavy traffic side coming in. The house was perfect for our group, there was ample space for us to spread out and be comfortable. The boys played basketball in the backyard and enjoyed the front yard for some baseball. The house was clean and had what we needed to cook each day. The host was very responsive as well. We did not have any issues with the well water as some have stated, the filtration system does its job. The beds were very comfortable as well. We would love to stay again on our next trip up.
We enjoyed our stay at this home. The host was very responsive & provided great hospitality. The house has a lot of character & our dogs enjoyed the large, gated lot.
We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The home is spacious & has a lot of character. The location was great being that the home is no more than 30 minutes from most attractions in the Charleston area.
This home is very very nice. Exactly as depicted in photos. It is close to Wando and a short drive to Mt pleasant. Large secluded property. Wonderful easy check in and check out. Will stay again in future. Excallent.
The house was an accurate reflection of the listing. Just what I needed as a getting ready home prior to my wedding. Would recommend for anyone needing a home in Cainhoy/Huger
Our stay at this property was perfect! The house was exactly what we were looking for in the stay. It was very close to Shipyard Park which was great since that's why were there. It had an added bonus of a gate at the driveway that we could close while the kids were outside playing in the large yard. Just a little added piece of mind in an already safe environment. Check in and check out was smooth. Definitely pleased with our decision to go with this property. We felt at home while on vacation.
It was exactly what the description said. I appreciate the fast response and help we needed. I hope to rent again. We really enjoyed our stay and time there. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Family in town for a wedding
The property was spacious enough for our group. I would have liked to have known in advance that the property is very close to a pretty busy road.
We did have cleaning to do upon check in & there was a lot of large dog “bombs” in the yard.
Also, the master bedroom is advertised as having a king bed & it was actually a small queen at best.
The home did have everything you needed for a home feel stay.
Just needs some attention to details & possibly some small updates.

Sulfur smell
The house and property was so nice and welcoming. The only issue we had was the horrible sulfur smell in the water. The house has hard well water which contains high amounts of natural minerals such as calcium and magnesium which don't properly dissolve soap. Therefore, leaving the soap residue on our skin. Sadly, I did not feel clean the entire weekend and was in fear that i smell from the odor of the water.

Hi Monica, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we're thrilled to hear that you found our house and property welcoming.
- We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the sulfur smell in the water. Our property utilizes well water, which naturally contains minerals like calcium and magnesium. While these minerals are not harmful, they can sometimes cause an unpleasant odor.
- To address this issue, we work closely with a water treatment company to maintain the quality of our water supply. Following your feedback, we have arranged for them to visit more frequently, especially before guest arrivals, to ensure the water is treated effectively.
- Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we regret that you did not feel clean during your stay. We encourage guests to communicate any concerns they encounter so that we can promptly address them and ensure a more enjoyable experience.
- Once again, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future and provide you with an even better stay.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
The home overall was beautiful, clean and pet friendly! However, the smell that came from the water throughout the house was very overwhelming. It was something that I overlooked when making the booking. When we got to the house and started running the water to take showers that evening we thought if we let it run, it will stop but it was very stinky. When I contact The host through text message they told me that it was because it was well water and even if it was well water doesn’t have that horrible smell. I asked was there anything that they could do about it? They said no this the water that is offered in the area. I would never recommend anybody have to go to take a shower or wash their face or clothes or anything and water that smells like that because that just means there is contamination somewhere And it should be considered unclean. Being a water purification specialist I’ve cleaned water from many unclean sources and never have I smelled anything like this. It’s unacceptable to charge someone to stay there. I also felt like the bed in the master was a portable travel bed with a very uncomfortable mattress. We checked out early Sunday morning without showering and cleaned up as best we could and got out of there.

Not even worth 1 star. Buyer beware
We had a wedding to attend a short distance from this rental. I picked this rental for two reasons: Advertised King bed in the primary bedroom and the guarantee made by the rental agency Evolve. We arrived at the rental around 4 p.m. on the 29th and our other guests arrived around 6. The primary bedroom had a queen bed so I texted the owner and his solution was that he would have Evolve change the website. The granite around the kitchen sink was cracked in several places. The kitchen dining table was horribly scratched over the entire surface. The spray handle in the primary bath had a sign "broken, do not use". The nice refrigerator in the online pictures was not the one in the rental. Evolve guarantees that what you see on their website is what you can expect in the rental. We were between a rock and a hard space since we were attending a wedding on Saturday. We felt Evolve should have stood behind their guarantee but they refuse to do anything since they said the owner offered us to leave the premises and go to a hotel or another rental. Our guests left the rental Saturday night rather than stay until Monday and we left Sunday morning. I will never rent through Evolve again and hope that anyone considering this rental will think twice.

Hi Catherine, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
Thank you for the feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the imperfections during your stay. All of the concerns you raised are being addressed. Most importantly, the master bedroom now has a king bed. The table is rustic, as are the kitchen cabinets; it is not scratched. The refrigerator was broken and has been replaced. We hope the generous measures taken to make things right helped make up for some of the inconvenience. We will continue to do all we can to provide our guests with an enjoyable stay!

Nice Home
We loved the house. Street out front was noisy and busy. Great accommodations ,great back yard for dogs but gate to driveway needs to be tightened up. My 35 pound dog was able to push gate open enough to get out. Loved the kitchen but needs a few things like bigger bowls to mix with and cookie sheets for oven. Really a great place to stay. It is about40 minutes to King St in Charleston.
