We’ve stayed here twice and loved it both times. Within a few minutes walking to two beautiful riverside parks, excellent restaurants, galleries and the fun Smith Hardware museum. Comfy beds, huge showers.
Terrific location for walking to restaurants, shops and a wonderful park. The space was creatively designed and decorated, super clean. We will consider for a future stay!
The property was charming, clean and very comfortable. It was everything as described. The communication with the owners was great and very helpful in acclimating to Covington with suggestions for restaurants and things to do. We loved being able to walk to so many places, the location was perfect. The showers were huge and and a perfect upgraded detail to the charm of this property. We definately would book it again!
The property was clean, just as described. Already planning on staying here or in the downstairs portion of the house next time we come. Plenty of good restaurants in walking distance.
The space was nicely decorated and had everything we needed and then some. Walking distance to almost everything you would want to do in Covington. Will definitely stay again when we are visiting family in Covington.,
Perfect location in the historic area - within walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. Very clean and comfortable. Host was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again.
The property was very clean, and had plenty of room for our group of 6. Communication with Jules was always easy and open. We had such a great time, we wish we never had to leave!
The cutest little rental we’ve ever stay at! Julie is a real host! We loved this place and will certainly be returning! We were surprised with Spark in the Park and a firework show steps from the rental!
The apartment has been renovated very stylishly, while at the same time is very homey and comfortable. The beds were comfy, the shower luxurious, and the HVAC system operated flawlessly — must be a new system in a very quaint cottage. The location was superb too. Our host was gracious and helpful. We would stay here again.
Modern, spacious, safe upstairs apartment in a very quiet neighborhood. Lots of room to spread out. Ample parking for our two vehicles. Hosts were very responsive to our requests. Could use a few aesthetic improvements (lighting/utensils), but overall would not hesitate to stay here again.
Very nice that everything was provided. Coffee Pot and Keurig, dishes, pots, pans, condiments so much more. Suggest they put a shade in the bedroom window with the king bed because in the morning you get all the light coming in. Bathrooms were awesome. Definitely not good for anyone having difficulty walking upstairs. Loved it but wish there was an oudoor area to sit and relax.
Perfect vacation spot in historic downtown Covington!
I absolutely loved my two week stay! The apartment had so much charm, and the renovation had all of the modern conveniences while keeping the character of this lovely home. The showers were fantastic and the beds were very comfortable.Julie and her husband were wonderful hosts; easy to contact and very flexible when weather impacted my arrival and departure. There are so many cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. I loved the independent bookstore on Lee Lane and Coffee Rani and New Orleans Seafood and Spirits were my favorites for lunch and dinner. It was fun to walk down to the river and enjoy the view. Spring was a lovely time to visit, and I hope to return again next year!
Spacious Attic Apartment in Classic Covington Historic Home
This upstairs apartment in a classic Covington historic home is spacious and airy, super comfortable and homey. House is older, but interior is modern and up to date, and the hosts have set it up with so many thoughtful details and supplies to make it feel like a home away from home.
The location is great - right in downtown Covington and Lee Lane shops and cafes, but a cozy and quiet location that's a very short walk the river at Columbia St. Landing and Bogue Falaya Park.
Bedrooms feel comfortable with really nicely done private bathrooms, and it's very quiet at night. The kitchenette is perfect for a quick breakfast or simple meal, and they've very thoughtfully stocked it with everything you might need.
A lovely place to stay - highly recommended!
The property was very well maintained. The house itself had a lovely charm and the neighborhood was beautiful. There were many options for excellent dining opportunities within a short walking distance. The property manager Jules was quick to respond to any inquiries and the add he posted for the location and amenities was spot on (no hidden surprises). I would definitely recommend this property if you’re looking for a quiet, clean and family friendly location. We were able to visit New Orleans without having to worry about safe accommodations by staying at this property and we had a wonderful family vacation. 5 stars!!
