This one bedroom cottage well suited for a romantic couples retreat is a truly unique open concept space that has been fully updated yet retains it's original rural by Artist/owner, the concept for this boutique property is fulfilled in it's chic elegance and quirky style with a personality all it's own. The interior atmosphere with it's antiques and milk painted furniture reflects the warmth of a by gone era but also offers modern amenities. Wake up to the gorgeous views from your 'Tea Roses' queen bedroom or take in the scenic beauty of rivers and mountains while having your morning coffee or breakfast on the deck. The space features vaulted wood paneled ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom with hardwood floors, old fashioned claw foot tub, slate shower, full kitchen and dining, living room with flat screen TV and wireless internet. Experience the best of what the Fraser Valley has to offer in one of the most spectacular resort areas in BC while staying in the heart of it all. At only 1 and 1/2 hours from Vancouver, you'll be sure to catch some of the year round activities. The neighborhood is host to outstanding events including the Harrison Arts Festival, Circle Farm Tour, Slow Food Tour, Agassiz farmers market and the well know Bald Eagle Festival. Recently the area which is minutes to the Harrison River has been designated as a salmon stronghold and is a world class fishing destination. Other activities include rock hounding, hiking, biking, paragliding from the mountain,site seeing, skiing, golfing, boating, horse back riding, bird watching, ATV sports, racing and water sports. Harrison Hot Springs is only 15 minutes away and Agassiz is 10 minutes to shopping. Kilby Provincial Park and Museum, the Sandpiper Golf Course, the Hemlock Valley Resort and the Harrison River and boat launch are only a few minutes away.

Great place for a little getaway

Great place for a getaway. It was central to all the places I wanted to explore and allowed easy access to and from, with a vehicle. Despite it being off the highway, it was nice and quiet.

Idyllic Retreat

I needed some time to myself and this was the perfect retreat. The cottage was just right, well maintained, well appointed, and the hosts were supportive and available on call. Close to everything you might need and in a absolutely beautiful part of the Harrison/Frazer River canyon.

Comfortable Quaint Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet, relaxing location in spite of it being located on a busy truck route. The back deck is an escape from the noise of the city and has a wonderful view of the Fraser river and the mountains across the valley. Not luxurious, but a good location between the Harrison River and Harrison Lake.

Cozy at the Cottage

The pictures of the cottage were accurately depicted. It was very clean and the bedding and linens were ample and spotless. The cottage is charming and the view of the valley from the back deck and bedroom windows is beautiful. We were a bit disappointed in the location as it is very close to a busy road rather than set back and near the river. However, with it being a cool and rainy April we kept the back door and windows closed, which helped with noise reduction. We would not hesitate to return on the off season again!

Cute and Comfortable

This property was very clean and stylish. The location was also very tranquil, which was exactly what I wanted. My only caveat is that the GPS will not take you to the lane where the property is located - it will drop the pin on the main highway. As you are approaching the property there will be an establishment called the "The Woodside Inn" on the right a few meters before the property. Turn on your right turn signal at this point and stay right, the entrance to the lane is a few meters past the inn.

Needs Better Care

This property has potential to be wonderful. A cozy cottage with a bit of a lovely water view and a comfy double bed. Unfortunately, we needed to "make do" with dishes that were put away dirty and contain metal that arcs in the microwave. Low water pressure in the shower. A remote that needed new batteries. A bath mat in tatters, etc. This all adds up to a poor value for a property that needs better attention .

A lovely stay

My wife and I stayed at this cottage for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. The owner’s communication was fantastic before we arrived. While we were there, we enjoyed the farmhouse decor and took the time to take in the awesome views from the windows and patios. It was just far enough away for a great getaway, yet close enough to Harrison and Agassiz to take in some of the sights. If you have a dog, be sure to say hello to the friendly neighbours to the west of the place and also go for a walk along the river at Kilby Park (about 5 mins away). This is a great place for a quiet retreat!

Great Little Getaway

Had a wonderful time at this cute little getaway. The place is exactly as pictured and is very well designed. The claw foot bathtub was huge hit for my girlfriend and I couldn't stop lying on the super comfy couch reading a book. We arrived after the sunset - so finding the place was very difficult, but if you come during the day, I'm sure you'll have no issues. All amenities needed for cooking and staying in were provided, including some much welcome Coffee and Tea. One reviewer stated there was no place to walk your dog - which is true - however, only a 6 minute drive away was beautiful Kilby Park with miles of beach front to enjoy. All in all - a wonderful getaway and we will for sure be back!

Beautiful cottage 25mins away from our home. Beautiful setting with a view of the river. Cottage was fully stocked with all the necessities. Nice little get away to do some touristy things in local communities.
