Loved Alan's place. Location is amazing near dolores park and walkable to downtown Noe 24th street area and also the mission. Great beds (nice and firm!) and generally good vibes. Highly recommend.

Hi Erich, Thanks so much for staying with us! We are glad you enjoyed the property and you were an impeccable guest! Alan
I enjoyed a month here: A spacious, well-provisioned flat in Dolores Heights convenient to shopping and great food nearby. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The landlord was acessible and commendably responsive but not intrusive.; our exchanges were very pleasant.

Amazing Flat in the Heart of SF, in Quite Neighborhood
Our family absolutely loved this placed! Thank you so much for being such gracious hosts. The apartment is clean, well designed, delightful, and accessible to everything around us. It is located near the Mission and near many restuarants/night life but is in a quiet, well appointed street that provides safety and serenity - and an amazing view.
Thanks to Alan for a wonderful stay!
Alan's place is in the perfect location and perfectly appointed. We stayed for month and it felt like home. Quiet, clean, amazingly comfortable bed, gorgeous views, stocked kitchen, etc. We walked a ton all over the Mission and Noe Valley. Parking on the street without a sticker was never an issue, left it all day and no ticket. Do keep an eye on street cleaning, though! Best VRBO experience we've had. Highly recommend!
Would stay again, however, be aware one outdoor flight of stairs and one indoor flight, common in neighborhood.
Kitchen well stocked with utensils. Nice eat in area and porch off kitchen. Extra room with desk for working. Short walk to muni transportation. Host quick to respond to questions.

Thanks so much for staying with us Leonard we'd love to have you again! We did advise you before the booking that we have both exterior and interior stairs to get into the unit, which is typical of most flats in San Francisco. Part of what makes this condo special is that even though it's on the first floor, it's elevated off the street for privacy and has nice City Views.
Stayed for a month and loved my time at this property. Perfect location for exploring the Mission, Castro and Noe Valley. Spacious and well-stocked. Thanks for a great stay!
Alan’s rental is awesome. Roomy, bright, clean and comfortable. Location is in and near some great neighborhoods. A very enjoyable stay in SF even with a pandemic happening. Highly recommended!
We’ve stayed in numerous VRBO flats in Dolores Park. Nothing beats Alan’s flat. The location is perfect, a half block from the park, and next to the Muni. The place was immaculate, and alan was very responsive.
Alan’s place was great to stay in for a month-long business trip. Clean and as listed, it was a short walk to The Muni J train which made it very easy to get around. Alan was always quick to respond to questions and easily reachable by phone. Kitchen is well-stocked and made cooking very easy. Would certainly stay here again.
We absolutely loved staying in this wonderful home. The location is superb. Would highly recommend.
Alan is such a fantastic host. We couldn’t have been happier here. It was the perfect location to explore and enjoy San Fran. We loved the outside area for barbecues. The apartment is very quiet and spacious. It was like home from home. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough to anyone looking for a long or short stay in the city.
Alan has been so amazing from the first time I exchanged emails till the last day of check out. The house is so so beautifully furnished, and fully stocked with clean linen and towels. Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Its a true gem in heart of SF. Walking distance to Castro, Mission, and right next to Dolores Park. This place will go fast. Recommend booking soon!

Impeccable
Stayed here for the second time (after a terrible nearby Airbnb experience) with my three teenagers, and we will probably only stay here in the future. The apartment is in pristine condition, and the location is perfect.

This is a fantastic place!
The apartment is spacious, clean, hip, and well-equipped. The location is perfect -- walking distance to tons of restaurants, cafes, and a grocery store. It's around the corner from Dolores Park, a MUNI stop, and less than 2 blocks from a Zipcar. Alan is wonderful and super-fast to respond to any questions. We stayed here for a month and have zero complaints, it really felt like home.

SF Abode
My wife and I plus our grown son stayed in SF Abode over Thanksgiving week. It is a terrific apartment and very much like the pictures. Allan was very responsive to my pre-stay emails, so everything was clean and in good order when we arrived. The view out the front window of the SF skyline is very nice. Furnishings are quite good and the beds/linens are excellent. The location is very convenient to the Mission, Noe Valley and Dolores Park. This is a hilly part of SF, so be prepared to walk uphill or downhill out of the apartment and to go up stairs to get in. If I was to give one minor criticism, the kitchen isn't really stocked for someone who plans to do a lot of cooking (e.g., no steamer or good stir fry pan), but it has all the basics. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful rental in a great location
This is a wonderful Victorian in a great area between the Castro, Mission, and Noe Valley. The apartment has been completely modernized, and the furnishings are new. The apartment has everything you need for a short or extended stay. The apartment overlooks Mission Delores park, and has great views of San Francisco. It's just minutes from the best restaurants and bars in the Mission District.
Alan the owner was very accommodating. We needed another tank of gas for the outdoor grill since we were entertaining family from the area, and he provided it the next day.

Amazing location!
We absolutely loved our stay in Alan's flat. He was more than accommodating with restaurant recommendations and allowing us to store our luggage after check out. The layout was great for us, as it was a couple and friend staying in SF. The bedrooms were on opposite sides of the flat with a bathroom for sharing. The flat was very clean and nicely decorated. It made for a very relaxing stay. Also, the location couldn't have been better!!

Fantastic apartment, fantastic location
My husband and I stayed in this great apartment for six weeks, and if I could give it ten stars, I would. The apartment itself is beautiful: a thoughtfully renovated Victorian with its original charm, but modern kitchen and bathroom. It's light-filled, spacious, airy, equipped with everything you could possibly need, spotless, quiet and comfortable. Great beds -- we slept so well here! My favorite thing about it was the sensational view of the gorgeous Dolores Park, bay, and skyline of the city, as well as the lovely Victorian across the street. It's quintessential San Francisco. The location is phenomenal. You're a two-minute walk from Dolores Park and the Muni, which takes you all over the city, and a lovely stroll down Liberty St., one of the most beautiful residential streets in the city, to Valencia St., with some of the city's best restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Finally, Alan, the owner, is a wonderful person, very efficient and responsive, and incredibly flexible and thoughtful. We've stayed in many vrbo rentals over the years and this one can't be topped!

🎶 I left my ❤️ in San Francisco🎶
This was my first time trying a VRBO & I stayed 2 months. What would've been enduring an awful NorthEast Coast winter became experiencing a lovely SF one,& Alan, the owner who lives upstairs, is wonderful! The layout is conducive to having guests visit for a few days & Alan takes great care to make you feel welcomed & comfortable. It's difficult to find a king bed in a VRBO yet his master suite has a large room overlooking a garden with a leather couch, large mirror & closet that could serve as an extra place to nap or shut the door for extra quiet. He supplied a visitor's parking pass for a nominal fee & parking was easier than many parts of the city( although the steepness of the hills challenged my parellel parking on an incline skills). Safeway & Whole Foods are walkable as are a multitude of restaurants blocks away in the Mission District. One jewel of a ice cream place called Cream on 18 th & Valencia has a set up where you could make your favorite ice cream sandwhich by choosing from about 20 kinds of homemade cookies & a same number of ice cream flavors- all for $3 ! The Oyster Bar Restaurant on 19th & Castro was our favorite -it's a tiny seafood place with 7 or 8 tables & bar seating with the freshest seafood ever. The wait can be long but after a meal there, you realize that it's worth the wait. Dolores Park is nearby & a fun place that people from all over the city gather- there's families with children, young people that enjoy dressing up (or down), 20's & 30's picnicking & drinking. The apartment sits way up high so walking anywhere, you must go down which means walking back is way up. The steep hills were tough but then I'm no spring chicken. The location, view, the apartment set up & Alan make the climb & price worth it. I highly recommend this place! VRBO#379622

About the host
Hosted by Alan
I've lived in San Francisco over 30 years and currently work as a Realtor. I love my work as it allows me to explore the historical nature of our City and meet a diverse range of clientele. I chose to join the VRBO network as a way of sharing a piece of my home with visitors who come to San Francisco, who also want to experience one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a touch of local flair.
In addition to renting the unit, we are always available to answer any questions and share our local expertise on good eats, fun nightlife and local hot spots.
Cheers,
Alan
Why they chose this property
Prior to living in Dolores Park, I lived in the Marina, Pacific Heights and South of Market. Dolores Park is by far my favorite neighborhood. Not only is it sunny and warm most of the time, there is a ton of 'local color.' There is no shortage of gourmet restuarants and markets, cafes, hip boutiques and you are only a short distance from downtown via muni. Highways 101 and 280 are also easily accessible.
What makes this property unique
The condo is located in one of the most desirable areas of Dolores Heights...you could not be in a better location! You are walking distance to Dolores Park, the Castro, Noe Valley's 24th Street and the hip Valencia Street Cooridor. The SF Muni is one block away and you will be downtown in less than 15 minutes.
