Updated, Pet friendly 2/2 with huge sun deck and extra loft 5 minutes from the beach AND the Bay! SANDY SHORES WEST UNIT 104: This pet friendly, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit with an additional loft area has been recently renovated and features 3 sliding glass doors over a huge sun deck, spacious vaulted ceilings in the living area, wood-look flooring, gorgeous granite countertops, updated bathrooms, new fixtures and finishes throughout. Outside it has almost 400 square feet of outdoor space on two large balconies with both Gulf and Lagoon views - a 40 foot long, very sunny south-facing balcony and another Lagoon-viewable balcony with a dining set.. It is ideally located on a narrow strip of Gulf Shores just a 5-minute walk from the Gulf AND a 5-minute walk from “the Point” a strip of beach on the Little Lagoon popular with dog lovers. The Beach House bar and grill and Janino's pizza are each within easy walking distance.

​​​​​​​The unit comfortably sleeps 6. The main living area offers comfortable seating for up to 6 on the leather sofa, loveseat, large TV and two additional chairs. A large dining area table with seating for 6 is also provided. The fully stocked, updated kitchen features an oversize granite bar area with two bar stools, a deep, roomy kitchen sink, air fryer convection oven, all of the expected large and small appliances and a large pantry area for your staples and drinks. This in not your typical barren condo! In the hallway is a washer/dryer combo. For remote workers, the unit has 2 separate work areas – upstairs in the loft area features a fully equipped work area with a desk and a wired ethernet connection. The master bedroom also has a corner desk perfect for laptops with its own wired ethernet connection. Internet is 100 MBPS fiber. The primary bedroom features a high-end Sealy king bed, updated private bathroom, large corner television and its own sliding door leading onto the large balcony. The guest bedroom offers queen bedding, closet shelving for storing your personal belongings, a mounted television and balcony access via another sliding glass door. The sunny property placement plus the vaulted ceilings in the living area offer a dramatic escape from the usual cramped condo feeling. The loft area is accessed by a spiral staircase and has 2 twin beds with privacy screens along with the already-mentioned work area. For cooling off, there is a pool located underneath the condo complex. Outdoor grills are also located by the pool in case you want to prepare your dinner while taking an evening swim.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SANDY SHORES WEST: STAIRS: The property is on the 2nd floor of a walk-up building and requires climbing 2 sets of stairs. 2 umbrella stands are provided, please bring your own umbrellas as ours are frequently flying away!

*AGE: There is a strict minimum age requirement of 25 to book this property. The guest booking the property must be on site for the duration of the booking. Photo Identification is required.

*PARKING: This complex offers (1) covered, assigned parking space under the building. One additional spot is allowed in the space directly across the assigned parking. Any other vehicles will need to be parked behind the primary vehicle. Please refrain from parking in other assigned parking spaces.

*PETS: This property IS pet friendly to DOGS ONLY! You are welcome to bring up to two dogs during your vacation, however each pet MUST be registered, and the pet fee must be paid per pet. Failure to register and pay the pet fee can result in being fined and/or evicted.

*CANCELLATION: In the event you have to cancel we will work with you as much as possible, however we do have a Cancellation Policy in place.

Nice place
Nice place, Not too far from the beach (3rd/4th row) neighborhood was very nice and safe. We felt like it was a bit overpriced, But overall we had a great vacation. This unit itself does not have "spectacular views" All you can see is buildings. The front unit has a nice view of the lagoon. But The whole property in general only has a small obstructed view of the ocean. The house was clean enough, but could definitely use a deep clean around baseboards and things like that (It's the end of season so I get it) House is three large flights of steps up. It's doable, But we were there in a heatwave (100+ everyday) and we really dreaded the steps, especially because it was always hot inside the house as well. Beach wagon and chairs were broke so we had to buy our own. The stairs to the loft are tiny and not suitable for adults. But the kids did ok. The pool was cold, which was nice when it was 104° outside, But definitely would not be enjoyable in any milder weather. The AC unit needs to be replaced .We followed the "rules" to the AC to keep it from freezing up, but it still stayed over 75° or higher the whole time we were there. And the last two days it was always over 80° inside. We live in a location that gets this hot as well and have never had that problem before, so I don't feel it's fair to blame it on the heat alone (as they repeatedly do in the paperwork) But we truly fell in love with Gulf Shores, And it was definitely a fantastic vacation.

Family vacation
The pictures when booking were beautiful! We got there and it wasn't the cleanest. Thick dust on all the fans, which we had to use. The bathroom had used bars of soap in the shower. Also in the master, the cabinets were filthy. The diningroom chairs have dust bunnies on the bottoms. We were there for 4 days and only got 4 towels, I had to keep doing laundry. We loved the location, loved it was pet friendly and loved the board games. We would stay again! But it definitely needs to be cleaned better. I went to use the broom, to try to keep up with the floors and it was broke.

We stayed for 8 days. The property was close to EVERTHING! We thought the decor was nice, and offered everything we needed for our stay. All of our communications with the property management were met with considerate and timely responses. We'd definitely stay here again. Side note... we're in our 50's and the stairs were a bit trying but worth the climb plus we got a little workout too.

Great stay
Clean, nice decor, comfortable bed! Everything you could need down to games/puzzles, big pots/pans for feeding a larger crowd and even chip clips to keep the bags closed! Short walk to the beach. Only “critiques” were not enough hangers in the master, no hangers in the secondary bedroom, and the spiral staircase handrails were slightly low for how high they go up! But our teenagers did fine with it. I would be careful with smaller ones staying up in the loft. Overall, lovely place and we had a great time, thank you!
