The pictures on the listing to do not do this place justice. The fire pit area is awesome. Has a nice covered deck on the river with plenty of seating. Kayaks, fishing poles…the property is very nice. Well furnished with internet and tv and the beds very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would stay again
The House has a musk smell and spiderwebs. After we settled in tho and ran the ac and ceiling fans it was very pleasant. Plenty of room to spread out. One of the couches was kind of worn but was comfortable. Lots of dishes and modern items mixed with the old rustic style. Would definitely rent again just for the view and peace and quiet. O and the porch swing bed is a plus. And the neighbors dogs are very friendly.
The pictures really don't do this place justice. The views are breathtaking! The cabin is cute and quaint. The furniture was very comfy and we loved the porch area too. The bed was very firm but we managed. This place really is well stocked and had pretty much everything. We came in for the AAYS World Series for girls softball. It was worth every bit of the drive into Gardendale to play ball. Didn't hurt that our team brought home the Championship for 18u division. If we are in the area again, we would love to stay here again! Be prepared there is little to no service at all, but it was nice to disconnect and relax when we were there.
My family had a wonderful time here! I would have given 5 stars, but small incident occurred where my nephew was chased by a neighbor's dog which caused him to run into the porch's fence which collapsed due to age and rotting. I explained this to the owner and he seem to be very understanding and had stated that the dog had posed some issues in the past as well. I did inform him he could check the cameras to verify my integrity too. During our stay we ended up running into an old family friend who stayed across the street, which was also a plus! All in all, we would truly book again because everything else was truly a beautiful and remarkable experience. We hope to stay again for our next family vacate!
