Property is not fit for a family of 6. I can list many reasons why we will never book this property again, safety, cleanliness were the major factors. My family and I left after only one night and booked a hotel elsewhere. I DO NOT recommend.
We were in town for a softball tournament. The house fit our teenage girls, plus our friends perfectly. It is quite small, but worked well enough. The beds were comfortable and the location was great- close to many attractions/restaurants. The houseplants were dying, and the backyard was all just weeds and very small. The street parking is poor- as there is no where to turn around and only the one spot in the driveway (we didn't have access to the garage.) Communication was easy & all questions were promplty answered.

It seems that some basic maintenance has been skipped at this home. The primary bathroom had 3 of 6 light bulbs out, both bathroom sinks had some debris in them, the door to the primary bedroom looks like it was kicked in at some point as it is broken, the blinds in the living room are missing about a third of the slats and a couple are broken, the first night we got into the bed in the primary bedroom and found what appeared to be dried on chewing gum in the fitted sheet. The garbage can in the kitchen also has a broken lid. There is a lot that could have been done to make this home better. The listing said that the garage space was available, but when I checked in I was told in fact that it wasn't. I specifically had looked for a rental that had adequate parking. The back yard needs attention. It is overgrown and not any place you would want to spend time. I was really disappointed That this rental did not meet what was listed in the advertisement, specifically the parking, and the condition of finding gum in the bed was unacceptable. The property manager did get a new set of sheets delivered the next day, but I also would have expected some offer of compensation which did not happen. I gave the property a 3 because it did have 3 bedrooms, the beds were relatively comfortable, and the internet worked well.

Dirty, Tired, and Broken
These pictures are not accurate. The house is in terrible condition. Absolutely not what was expected from the pictures and the price.Doors have been been kicked in and handles broken, the stair hand rail isn’t completely connected to the wall, rusty sinks, stains on rugs and curtains, dirty foil on the wall behind the range, the Keurig machine is covered in god knows what stickiness and there are all kinds of coffee rinds on the inside leftover for who knows how long, the baseboards look like they’ve never been dusted and there is peeling paint and random holes and dings all over the walls. Not to mention the blinds that don’t close fully, every single set of blinds is broken and missing the mechanisms that make them close, and the downstairs vertical blind on the slider is missing almost half its slats (even though the property manager says she replaced them “2 guests ago”). That exposes my family to random people on the street and behind the house. The backyard is completely unusable because it’s so overgrown and it’s unsafe with holes in fences and fences falling over and missing fence slats. Bottom line… It’s just not safe. I refused to let my family stay somewhere unsafe. It’s not acceptable for this type of service and at this price. I’ve stayed in many rentals, this is the worst. We actually left and stayed in a hotel. The host did refund us in full (despite VRBO not wanting to), so I am grateful that they realized their product was not up to standard.
