Why Tomaso Bragantini chose Central Station
When searching for an apartment in Milan , I was attracted by the area, with its neighbouring districts of "Lambrate-Via Ventura", where a recent industrial past has merged with the fresh energy of creative and design studios and art galleries, and the "Isola-Garibaldi" area, with its nightlife and famous boutiques as well as the developing area of Piazza Gae Aulenti. Located at the center of the beating heart of the town, and very well connected to the public transport system, it was the perfect choice and it's been getting better ever since. There is an ongoing restoration of the dismissed warehouses, once belonging to the railways, nearby, with shops and activities opening and adding value and life to the neighbourhood.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment has a lot of light and is bright, facing on both sides, and being on the top floor. Also the view from the living room and balcony is somewhat special, overlooking the iron structure of the railway station and, in the distance the sight spaces through the Alp mountain range, from the spectacular color of Monte Rosa (rosa means pink, because the mount turns that color when the sky is clear, at dawn), to the mountains surrounding the lake Como area, giving the apartment an airy feel not very common in Milan. The sleeping room instead, faces towards the courtyard and is very quiet at night.

We appreciated the easy walk from the train station hub to this apt. We used the metro and train system everyday and it was so easy and convenient. The apt. is in a very safe building. Never felt uneasy walking in this area. Located on the top floor....we had a nice view of the Alps at times, and also the comings and goings of all the trains.
A few minor issues that we will mention: a washing machine but no soap provided. We were in Italy for a month and every VRBO provided a washing machine AND soap. Also.....there is a lovely kitchen and we cooked there at times. There is no toaster, coffee maker, or wine glasses (in Italy???? no wine glasses????). There is a small espresso maker, but it is a two cup stove top type. Just a few things we noticed that could have made this apt. more complete. It is a spacious apt. and very comfortable for two people.

Perfect location for several restaurants and transportation to see the sites of Milan. The apartment itself was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, and unbelievably clean. The check-in process was smooth and informative and any questions promptly addressed by Tomaso. Tomaso had everything needed to prepare meals and even provided some products for cooking such as olive oil. salt, etc. for our stay. While some reviews I read complained of train noise I did not find it to be a problem. Not only would I suggest staying at this rental to someone, if ever again I travel to Milan I will stay at this rental.
Milan Central Station
Very large 1 bedroom apartment. Great location for getting around. Trais can be a bit noisy, but not a big problem. Seventh floor so good thing there is an elevator. Excellent storage space.
Close to Milan’ s central station
This lovely and very spacious and well appointed apartment is a short walk from the train station, thirty to forty minutes walk from the Duomo . Nice neighbourhood with restaurants and cafes close by. Good communication with owner and easy check- in with a friendly informative lady.
Nice, spacious apt near train station
We enjoyed our stay and the convenience of being near the train station. Apartment was very clean and spacious. A great deal for the price. Highly recommend it.
Three nights in Milan
The communication before we arrived was very good and someone was there to greet us at 23.30hrs which was one reason we’d booked this apartment. It’s very handy for the airport buses and train station. Well equipped, good shower and comfortable beds. Sofa bed very easy to put up and down. We particularly benefited from the air conditioning and fan as it was very hot. There were some drain smells sometimes but they went away.
The neighborhood is lively with plenty of Bars and restaurant. There's a Cafe down the corner for your morning cappuccino as well as the finest extra thin-extra large pizza in town and restaurants for all the flavors all within one block. You can choose between a famous fish restaurant (the fish market used to be in this area and Milan is the main fish market in Italy), or a Sicilian trattoria, or a restaurant-pizzeria all of them just around the corner and many more, just a short walk away. Groceries and Minimarkets are also close by as well as a Pharmacy and ATM.
The nearby districts of 'Isola' and 'Lambrate' are popular for pubs and restaurant too as well as the renowned Blue note club for live music and dining.
All means of public transport are very easily accessible on foot from the apartment and if you like you can enjoy the city's bike rental network (the town is flat so no need to be a fanatic).
Also the Holocaust memorial is just 150m away from the apartment. It is one of the very few places like this that you can visit in europe also known as Binario 21 (Platform 21). That was the platform where the trains left for the killing concentration camps in Germany, during the second world war. Everything is just as it was and the actual train is there too.
At your arrival you will find a welcome book with all the informations regarding the apartment and the neighborhood.
