About this property

A large ranch home with space enough for large family gatherings. Renovations completed in 2023 with all new appliances, updated floor and wall covering and additional bedrooms. A complete kitchen upstairs and down. Bedrooms upstairs and down as well as TV room and game room with pool table and dart boards, downstairs. A large dining area attached to an open kitchen. Large living room with 85 inch TV streaming content. Downstairs also has attached screened in room with large cement patio facing the Thunderbay River. Ample yard for children and dogs to romp. Also there is a fenced in yard attached to the patio with screened in porch in case you would like a child or dog contained. Ample walking trails extend from the yard and continue to the state park 11/2 miles down the trail and thousands of acres of state land used for snowmobiles, walking and equestrians in the Mackinaw State Forest. A private getaway but just 1o minutes from a major grocery store and 15 minutes to beautiful, Lake Huron Beaches. Alpena is a quiet, pleasant, mid-size northern Michigan town. You get northern Michigan bliss without Traverse City crowds.

What makes this property unique
This is our family home growing up. Just renovated inside and with the view of the river cleared our home is ready for others to enjoy. My family uses it as a quiet get away and for large family gatherings. With a fully finished basement complete with kitchen, two bedrooms a TV room and pool table with another TV there is plenty of space for family members to spread out. Outside there a a spacious yard with adjoining trails for hikes in the woods. Backyard has a fenced in area to keep children and dogs away from the river. The Thunderbay River is not particularly deep along our property line and has a sand and gravel bottom. It's very refreshing in the summer but if you prefer a beach then Lake Huron is a short 15 minute drive away in Alpena, MI. Alpena has much to offer with shops and restaurants, a large grocery store, golf, a marina, diving and sunken boat expeditions and museum.
