Clean, well-appointed house in Carthage. It was perfect for gathering our out-of-town family for a special occasion. Easy check in and out and great communication with host. Highly recommend if travels bring you to Carthage.
My husband is from Carthage and his family still lives there. We went up from Ga and had a wonderful Thanksgiving with everyone. It was a great trip and a great house! We did not even know this house was available until trying to find a place close to Carthage. We would definitely stay there again. It’s a beautiful home, great location and was just perfect for what we needed!

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you found our home and that it was the perfect spot for your Thanksgiving visit. It’s wonderful to hear you had a great trip with family. We’d love to host you again next time you’re in the area!
A great place to stay. All the conveniences of home.
Our stay was amazing. I only left a few things that I thought the owner(s) would like to be aware, such as the stripping between rooms and loose flooring. I hope a TV can be placed in the master bedroom. I would rent this property again. Thanks.

I am so glad that you have enjoyed your stay! - We appreciate the kind review. We will surely continue to revamp our listing for our future guests. :)
The location was perfect. We were in town for the kids World's Golf tournament at Pinehurst to watch our grandson play. The drive took us about 15 minutes.
The yard was fenced in, which was perfect for us, since we were traveling with our two dogs.
The home is an older home, which has been completely renovated. Plenty of parking in the front and back for multiple vehicles.
There is a food lion and dollar general right down the street to stock the refrigerator and a pizza place right next door. We ordered two subs from there, which were excellent.
If we come back to Pinehurst, we will book again.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and the surrounding area, It is quite the town and being centrally located this home definitely gives both comfort and convenience.
The house was wonderful. The only complaint would be the water pressure and the full length mirror/window in the master in the first floor. I think it was suppose to be a mirror for dressing, but it is a window into the bathroom looking straight at the toilet. Room darkening blinds would be nice in the bedrooms as well. It is now three days since my stay and I have not received an invoice.

Disappointing Stay – Not As Advertised and Poorly Maintained
We were very disappointed with our recent stay at this property. There were several issues that made our experience far from what was promised in the listing.First, the house is located directly on a busy main road—a detail that was not mentioned in the description. This made for a noisy, non-relaxing environment. Upon entering, the house had a strong dog odor and was extremely dusty. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The beige couch and bar stools were heavily stained and dirty, which made us question what the cleaning fee was actually for. Even more concerning, when retrieving a ball from under the couch, we found trash including an empty beer can, an almond milk carton, and used paper towels. The house also had fleas, bugs, and flies. I had multiple bites and even killed fleas while lying in bed. This made us very uncomfortable and worried about our health.Other maintenance and hygiene issues included:- A moldy, old shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom.- Rolling vanity doors that were not secured properly and ended up falling on us.- A crib and pack-and-play that were dusty and clearly very old—definitely not sanitary for a baby. To top it off, the checkout rules included a 100 fee for any forgotten items. We accidentally left baby bottles in the fridge but chose not to retrieve them due to this unreasonable policy. I’ve stayed at many vacation rentals before but unfortunately, we will not stay here again in the future.

Hi Annalise. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns, though it’s disappointing they were only shared after your stay. We had no reports during your visit from anyone in your group, and we would have gladly addressed these issues had we been given the chance. Guest comfort is important to us, and we’re looking into your feedback to ensure our high standards are upheld.
