The house (cabin) was immaculate. The host provided a welcome basket with numerous edible items. It is well furnished with comfortable furniture. We want to return in the spring possibly for a longer stay. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, spices, sugar, flour. Many other items we have usually not found in other VRBOs we have stayed in.
The house was very clean, we enjoyed the new gas grill and the fire table on the porch. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace as well. The bedroom upstairs was cozy, although bed was hard, shower was super tight. Plenty of towels, bedding and kitchen utensils. Quiet place minus the loud neighbors next store with their music.

Annamarie, thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I'm truly sorry to hear that the neighbors were disruptive during your stay—this is unusual, and we’ll be reaching out to them to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Regarding the mattress upstairs, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. While our pillow top mattresses are only a couple of years old and have added toppers for comfort, we’ve decided to replace the one upstairs to improve the experience for future guests.
As for the bathroom setup, you're right—the upstairs features a corner shower, but we also offer a full tub/shower combination downstairs for added convenience.
We value your input and are always looking for ways to make our space more comfortable. Thank you again for staying with us!
It was just what you need near Mark Twain Lake. Perfect cozy little cabin with a fire pit. Keeping things simple and easy in turn makes it good for a calming relaxing atmosphere. Still big enough to easily sleep 6 or more.
The place was very clean and the proximity to the lake was perfect. Melanie communicated everything that was needed. I would definitely stay here again!!!
Bring some steaks for the grill. Looks like no one has even used it before. Wish I had brought some. This place is right around the corner from Rustic Oak Cabin Steakhouse but sometimes you just want to stay home and this cabin is one of those places. I also enjoyed seeing Mark Twains birthplace and visiting the White Harvest Orchard, not far away.
We so enjoyed our stay, great deck to sit and talk about days fishing action. Used gas grill to cook couple meals. Otherwise visited restaurants close by they serve excellent meals. The owner was great to communicate with. Will stay there again on our next visit.
Perfect cabin for a family vacation. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. The deck with fire pit table was great for coffee on a chilly morning. Our only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time here since we were celebrating a friend's birthday at a nearby campground.

We are so glad you enjoyed the cabin! Thank you for staying. You are welcome back anytime!
Our VRBO was located a short distance from our son, daughter in law and new grandson!
It was very convenient. Every convenience was available for us. I would highly recommend staying at this VRBO!
If your a bottom line kind of person, it was accurately described, excellently located, extremely clean. If you like more details read on. The listing is very accurate it is not a cabin for six that is listed for 20 occupants and over stuffed. It is well laid out, easy to operate out of and checked all the boxes for the five of us. It was logistically centrally located and easy to get to anything needed and almost all of the things to see. It seemed almost new and was extremely clean. It is cozy and easily worked for the five of us and we had two camper friends that came and played games at night. It had plenty of room, open spaced so everyone felt a part of the action, has an awesome southern deck and gas rock fire pit which was good on our cool nights. Great place, great value! Two things that can be missed in the listing. There is no dishwasher as the kitchen is cozy but well laid out and efficient. We adjusted with paper plates and disposable casserole pans. It has a Hollywood type of bathroom on the main floor that opens to both bedrooms, if this makes you pause it's not a big deal, light off it's vacant, light on it's not. A lot of cabin in a compact efficient space, it was great for us! We will probably go back and I would bet it grows a number of regulars! No cabin is perfect but this one is really good! We had parking for a 33' trailer hooked to a long bed one ton truck and parked two cars on pads and had room for two more cars as well.
The place was nice and clean. Plenty of parking. Close to the Rustic Oak which was handy.

My husband and I reside in southeast Iowa. We love coming to Missouri for the beauty and the fishing. We recently purchased this cute, cozy cabin so we could escape our daily lives a little more often. We would love to share it with you! You may recognize it from previously being listed as a 5 star vacation rental. We will strive to provide the same excellent service as the previous owner!
