Great family getaway

Loved the property, perfect for kids with waterfront but huge grassy yard to run and play. Loved the beachfront firepit with wood provided! Pack and play was provided on request.

Ideal Family Spot

Great spot for little ones. The provided Pack N Play, toys and highchair made packing a breeze. The yard is perfect for playing outside with a view.

Family getaway

San Juan Vacation

Beautiful location. We enjoyed the beach. We saw a blue heron, seal and pup, ducks, and lots of deer. Very comfortable home. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Garrison Bay

Comfortable, family home. Wonderful yard for the kids to play. Home style furnishings and large dinner table make for great get-togethers. Quiet neighborhood, good nights sleep too! Convenient location just down a country lane.

Beautiful, relaxing house in the woods

We felt right at home in this clean, comfortable and quiet home away from home. The beds were so comfortable, bedrooms spacious, and the birdsong and bay views so peaceful. My kids felt at home and we all enjoyed our time both indoors and out. We even saw harbor seals several times. And we can’t wait to return.

August Getaway

This house on San Juan Island was a great choice for our family vacation. The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate 4 adults and 3 children, and the yard was big enough for the kids to run around outside. We enjoyed watching the nightly visits by the deer through the large picture windows. I enjoyed coffee on the back balcony/porch in the morning. We plan to come back again.

Great location. Direct water access from yard; used our paddle-boards many times. Family of deer fed every night in the yard. Fire pit by waters edge used every night. Cozy house; enough room for our family. Quiet neighbors. Will stay here again!

San Juan stay

We had a great stay at this location. Very nice house and a great location. Believe listing should be changed because first amenity listed is a hot tub and there is not one! All there is is a soaking tub in the master bath. Also would recommend better coordination with lawn care personnel. Two nights in a row, they came late (6-7pm) to do the lawn. Very noisy when we were trying to enjoy a quiet evening. They need to come during the day when most people are probably out enjoying the island.

Great Getaway Location!

This beach house was a great find! The house was clean and located in a very quiet location. Kitchen is stocked with anything you need dish/utensil/appliance wise to make your own meals. There is a fire pit down by the water with plenty of places to sit. Check in/out process was a breeze. Would recommend this home to anyone staying on Friday Harbor. Thank you, Karen, for providing such a great place to get away from the world for a bit!

Wonderful relaxing home!

We spent our Thanksgiving here and loved every minute. There was ample space, it was tranquil and clean. We had issues with the wifi not working but Karen was quick to help us resolve the problem. The location was perfect, remote and right by the water, and only a short 15-20 minute drive to town, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We would definitely stay here again!

THE VIEW!!

The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. We enjoyed every second we spent here. The wifi is not stable, but you are in the woods on an island. Wish there were tvs in the bedrooms for the kids & better wifi, but we enjoyed outside so much that we didn't mind. If you have a chance rent this, you won't regret it.

The location of the house is wonderful. House interiors and appliances could use upgrade. During our stay dishwasher was broken so we could not use it. Living area is poorly lit. Kitchen utensils well stocked.

Excellent vacation! Home away from home!

This was our 2nd visit to Friday Harbor. This home backs out into Garrison Bay which is always calm and inviting and is an excellent place to kayak without having to deal with strong currents or fast moving boats. We were welcomed with a "smores kit" which was pretty thoughtful of our hosts. It's also very close Roche Harbor and English Camp so it's a quick drive for shopping, dining, sight seeing, and hiking. Be prepared to welcome deer on the property early in the morning or later in the day as they prepare to graze.

Girls Get Away

We had a wonderful stay at the beach house! The house was clean, and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked which made our meal planning easy. The evenings at the fire were relaxing and included visits from the local deer and raccoons. The location was perfect for us as our planned kayak and whale watching trips went out of Roche and Snug Harbor, each just a few minutes drive from the house. Karen was quick to reply to my many questions. I would definitely recommend this property.

A little piece of heaven

The home is clean, spacious, and well equipped with amenities. What I find truly unique is the easy proximity to the water front on the bay. Just walk across the lawn and sit feet from the bay, watch the seals, dear, eagles and other wildlife, enjoy a fire in the fire pit. You can see the bay from the house also. Once we unloaded our kayaks, they were feet from the water front for use on a moments notice.

Fun Girls Weekend Getaway!

We had a great time at Garrison Bay! The house was clean and comfortable and had spectacular views out into the water. Easy to find and very quiet and peaceful. I booked the house for a 2 night Bachelorette weekend with 6 ladies and had a blast in the house. Susan even left us some homemade goodies for breakfast! We also took the Italian pasta cooking class from Susan and Ed and it was so much fun. We really enjoyed talking, laughing and drinking wine withe them, while making a delicious dinner. A great experience was had by all!! I will definitely keep this place in mind for our next weekend getaway.

Great spot! Had an amazing stay.

Great views from the house. Kids loved using nets provided to play at the waters edge. At low tide could walk on beach and get sprayed by clams. Very clean and comfortable house. All in one floor great for elderly in-laws. Lots of deer on lawn. Also heard owls. Bring bug spray for those mosquitos. Only area for improvement was checkout - it is a bit early at 10 am- would be nice to have that be later since check in not until 4. And the “self-cleaning option” was a bit confusing. Would stay again for sure- great family memories!
